We’d never even contemplated using a design firm before, but when we purchased a home that needed major renovation to be right for us, we realized the time had come. Angela immediately distinguished herself by asking different questions than any other designer we interviewed; it was instantly clear her team was the right one. Working with them, we iterated on different levels of design and multiple styles to help us find the right one to showcase our lovely Sonoma home and its grounds. Urban Chalet then helped us interview and select a GC to execute on our shared vision, as enhanced by them. Some of their ideas were simply amazing and really help make the home extra special! A few noteworthy points: •The design plans were approved by the County on their first submission (rare!) •I can think of multiple examples where they protected us from ourselves, sharing their experience to avoid short-sighted decisions – e.g. we got a bit of an education on when and why to opt for the higher-end products versus when they just weren’t needed •We were basically on time and on budget, with only a few of those surprises that invariably arise. When they did, UC helped solve them. While our architecture, design and project management costs were approx. 12-15% of total project cost, this expense probably ensured other issues didn’t arise and surprise us •An old friend observed our new home “is like a curated version” of ourselves – that, in my mind, is high praise In short, the team at Urban Chalet was creative, thoughtful and responsive. We’re ecstatic with the results, would recommend them with confidence, and would happily speak with any prospective customers to answer any more questions.

Urban Chalet is an amazing group of caring designers that bring a professional & modern vibe to their projects. They helped me design my new medical office, and I was so thrilled with their help that I asked them to help with my house remodel. If you get a chance to work with them at their home office, they have an extensive collection of samples to look at & they will order more if there's a special something you're looking for... Michelle & Rachel were so fun to work with, always upbeat & available, with great advice and detailed design plans. Don't hesitate to use this top-notch company!

I had a wonderful experience! I hired Urban Chalet to completely design and furnish my new office/commercial space. I told them what I wanted to accomplish, how I wanted my clients to feel in my space, feel welcome, etc. and the designers' team did all the rest. There was a waiting room area, and 2 others rooms. The communication was really excellent. They always made sure we were on the same page and helped me make all the decisions along the way. They made the steps of the project very clear and always respected their deadlines. I'm extremely happy with the results and keep getting wonderful feedback from my clients. Angela's attention to detail and taste level is impeccable. I should also mention that they are really fun to work with, and so much want your dreams to become reality. I HIGHLY recommend them. We are lucky enough to be working with them on a townhouse project-- our 4th project over 10 years. They are our go-to for absolutely everything related to our home.

Urban Chalet's Angela Sarmiento completely designed and remodeled our Russian Hill condo from bare open space of only 1000 square feet to an elegant and efficient living space that is now our "heaven on earth". I am not overstating in saying our unit is now the most desirable unit in the entire 20 story building! Moreover, Angela and Urban Chalet's dedication to detail and timelines in a complex and difficult construction environment in a high rise in the middle of the city was a marvel.
