As an interior designer myself, I highly value the opportunity to collaborate, share, and support my fellow colleagues whenever I can because that is how we become better collectively. I can say with great appreciation that Ginger Curtis and her talented team at Urbanology Designs clearly shares the same feelings. Going into Kips Bay Dallas 2023, I knew I needed a strong local general contractor for a successful outcome in my space, Ginger put out right from the start that she was happy to help out of town designers so I contacted her immediately. Not only did she share a top notch GC, she also had a couple of her team members photograph and video our space prior to my first visit so we were not hampered by lack of proximity in seeing what we were working with to get started designing. I am grateful not only for the support, but for the friendship that has resulted.

Urbanology has a great understanding of how to integrate our meticulously curated stone into their visionary designs, resulting in incredible interiors. One aspect of Urbanology's approach that deserves praise is their attention to detail. Each project we collaborated on, including the Kips Bay Showhouse that featured our Quatre Saisons stone, was meticulously planned and executed, with every stone selection carefully chosen to harmonize with the overall aesthetic of the space. Their ability to balance textures, colors, and patterns, creating cohesive compositions exudes elegance and individuality. This was evident in the Lilac Scuro Kitchen where our stone was showcased in a remarkable manner.

What can I say. Urbanology has designed and helped renovate a huge portion of my 2017 build home, and it has been featured in numerous magazines and articles. What started out as a plain spec home with dull grays and browns had become haute design in my home. But unlike cold couture, warmth and comfort emanate from every corner. Our primary bath feels like an upscale Moroccan spa. Our kitchen feels like a Balinese resort kitchen. I asked for eclectic personality that was still relatable and I got it. Ginger and her team never miss the mark. They are involved with every detail to the Nth degree. If you can believe it, the under promise and over deliver. Any project you collaborate on with them will turn out even better than you expect. This is a team that I have and will continue to entrust time and time again with my home, my sanctuary.

Urbanology Designs is a MUST, but only if you want your spaces to be designed with inspiration and adventure. It is quite an experience to watch an Urbanology designer enter your space. You can almost see the lightbulbs of ideas and inspirations popping out of their heads. They have so many resources for furniture, rugs, lighting, one-of-a-kind accessories, and art at their fingertips. I love the way Urbanology uses color and fine details to personalize a space. Also appreciated is the respect for the client’s currently owned and loved pieces. The Urbanology team previously performed a commercial renovation project for us, which several years later, still receives regular compliments. More recently we moved into a new (for us) house. This house had been updated in the very safe way of many new houses these days, but we needed to make it home for us. After just a short time with our Urbanology designer we now have the vision and resources to do just that! We feel so blessed to have worked with Ginger in designing several areas of our home (powder bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room). I am not sure where to begin…working with Urbanology has been a dream come true, a true pinch me experience. We are based in LA but I have never seen work quite like Urbanology, so we hired them for 5 rooms despite the distance (which never felt far due to their diligence and care). They are all so talented and they leave their mark and love on everything they touch. There truly is no substitute or anyone like them. The experience was beyond expectations, from their site visit to the presentation, to answering a million questions during the renovation to install, they were always available and always willing to help. Our contractor said they have never worked with a better designer and that’s saying a lot! We felt so special, like we were their only and favorite clients. I knew from the moment we chose them that they would pour their hearts in to our home and they did just that. To say my home is gorgeous is an understatement. It is beyond my wildest dreams and the best part is everything in the house reminds me of such a special experience and such special people to me. I am truly sad our experience is over and can’t wait to use them again. I promise, hiring them will be the best thing you ever did and I’m already jealous of not only what they will do for your home but also how they will make you feel!

Ginger is very talented, professional, and has an impeccable eye for design. There is no doubt that she deserves all the accolades that she's earned. We hired Ginger for the deluxe walk-through service for our buildout. My suggestion is to be prepared beforehand because the time goes by very quickly. If you want to maximize your time efficiently and cover a lot of ground, make sure to establish a good game plan. We stuck to most of Ginger's suggestions, and we love our new home. Some of Ginger's suggestions were unexpected pieces and design choices that we would have never in a million years looked at or thought of. We receive tons of compliments on our home from our friends! Reflecting on my experience, my only complaint is that the service felt very transactional. It didn't feel as personable as I would have liked, especially judging from how well the Dallas influencers seem to be treated by Ginger via social media. I also feel that we may not have received the same treatment because we were building a typical semi-custom Texas builder-grade home, instead of a fully customized home. I felt that we didn't receive the same treatment since we were normal folks with an average budget and no clout. Overall, we had a pretty good experience. If you feel that Ginger's design style matches your taste and you have the expenses to spare, do it! Your home will look more well-done and upscale.

An incredibly talented team and a delight to work with! They helped us design our day center for survivors of trafficking, and were so intentional in understanding the vision and purpose for the space. They were communicative and responsive to feedback, and what they came up with is absolutely stunning!

What a DREAM!!! We did a 3 hour walkthrough with Ginger on our recently remodeled home. She was extremely professional during our session. Seeing her put together these amazing spaces in such a short time is truly inspiring. She has great ideas and knows exactly where to source everything from. Just finished the Premium 2-hour walk-thru with Ginger and am very excited to get started on our project. It was amazing we were able to get through so much in a few hours. Ginger came up with ideas that I would have never thought of and gave me the confidence in the decisions I needed to make quickly for our kitchen and gave me the inspiration I needed for areas that I was totally stuck on. She also came with some bold (and awesome) suggestions that will really make an impact in our spaces. The entire team at Urbanology Designs was amazing start to finish. We scheduled a deluxe walk-thru and in 3 hours I had sources to furniture, decorative pieces, paint colors, curtains etc. Ginger and her team are incredibly talented! My wife and I are in the process of a new build and were a bit overwhelmed with where to get started on designing for our open floor plan spaces. Our main concerns with hiring design assistance were: 1) will the designer understand our style? 2) would this money be better spent on furniture for the space? 3) will two hours be enough time to be valuable? Within the first 15 minutes of our session with Ginger, my wife and I nodded our heads to each other in confirmation that Ginger got our style. Ginger gave us the confidence to make more adventurous design decisions than we would have made on our own and then developed recommendations based on these choices to further enhance the spaces. Additionally, these recommendations sometimes even reduced the total price of the project. At the end of the project, we have spaces that look incredible, that are unique to our style AND we have completed the project under our anticipated budget. We are looking forward to working with Ginger and the team again in the future!

I had a wonderful, productive 3 hours with Ginger. She is full of amazing ideas, has a wealth of resources in her head, and is really delightful. Through an error on my part I didn't think we were meeting and when she showed up my house was a complete disaster, she was able to see through my chaos to the strengths of my home and areas to highlight and where to prioritize. We fully redecorated several rooms, she gave me ideas to improve other areas, paint colors, trim colors, window coverings, lighting, we actually finished a little early so we went outside and she told me her ideas to enhance the curb appeal of my house. She emailed me a shopping list and directions for placing all the items she found. She suggested items within my budget, that are readily available from stores I had heard of and some wonderful resources I never would have found on my own. We recently had Urbanology Designs do a consult with us on finishing touches for our home. Ginger came to our home and spent several hours making recommendations for several rooms. We discussed, lighting, rugs, accessories and more. At the end of the session, she provided a list of recommended items for purchase and links to the things we discussed. It was the perfect way to get expert advice and a fresh perspective on ways to complete our home decor. I highly recommend Ginger! She is AMAZING and such an extremely talented interior designer. If I could give Ginger 10 stars, I definitely would!!! We are updating our house, and have been stuck on what to do in many spaces throughout our home. I saw & loved several of Ginger’s designs on Instagram, so we decided to book a walk-thru service with her. Her knowledge and creative ideas were perfect!!! Now I have a clear vision on how to update those spaces, and have all the resources I need to implement her ideas! Definite bonus...My husband, who doesn’t care much about decorating, was very impressed and also equally excited to immediately get started on Ginger’s recommendations! For all things design, she is amazing!!!

I signed up for the two-hour virtual design session with Ginger and was blown away by what she was able to accomplish in that time period. I have a "special only to me" tract home and felt stuck in several spots. This service cost more than I've paid anyone per hour for anything, but Ginger delivered what was promised. We actually got through more than I expected and were able to go through a room I wasn't planning on asking about. Not only did Ginger provide detailed specifics on my issues, she sent me a list of resources we discussed after the meeting. During the meeting, Ginger was able to pivot and suggest other options if I didn't like a direction she was going. Ginger is fun, knowledgeable, thorough and able to problem-solve on the fly. I think this service works best if you know what you want/need and can be decisive. In short, you'll get everything promised (and probably more) along with expert advice, detailed information while enjoying the experience!

We have lived in our home for 7 years. While our home is our favorite place, there were several rooms that needed to be updated. My husband and I chose the deluxe three hour walk through and it was the BEST decision we ever made. Ginger is incredible! She worked hard for three solid hours making several rooms in our home feel fresh and new. Ginger was also able to combine my love for a more modern look, while my husband tends to be a tad more traditional. While taking both of our preferences into consideration, Ginger was able to design rooms that worked for both of us and the outcome was STUNNING. I know sometimes people feel hesitant to ask for help, but it has been my experience that you actually spend less money when it is done right the first time by a professional. I cannot speak highly enough about Ginger. I am building a new home and needed the advice of an interior designer to help me create a plan for how I would design and furnish the entire house. I reached out to Ginger for help and it was awesome. Ginger spent 3 hours with me to create a very detailed design plan for each room in my house. She gave me specific recommendations for paint colors, furniture items to purchase, hardware for kitchen cabinets, lighting, shade selections, etc. It was wonderful! And in my case - our 3 hour session was done virtually because I live in a different city. It was great. I was overwhelmed before working with Ginger and she gave me a wonderful, actionable design plan for my whole home tailored to my personal tastes. I highly recommend her services.

I just moved into my first newly built home. My interior goals have changed since my move. I had a virtual consultation as I live quite a distance from Urbanology Designs. I work from home and need an office that is conducive to my working needs. Ginger was patient with all of my questions. She was very detailed and walked me through everything I need to create the office I want. I even lost the original design recommendation and she resent them to me.. oops! We just moved in to a large home and need to furnish probably 80% of it, which is VERY overwhelming, especially since I am having our first baby in less than two months. I met with Ginger from Urbanology, who literally walked through my entire house with me room by room and talked me through EVERYTHING - what specific pieces would look good and where, where I could buy them, what size rug would fit nicely, how I should arrange the furniture, what light fixture, where should artwork go, etc. I mean literally, I left with over 50 specific pieces that I could purchase right then and there from SO many websites to begin to decorate my home. She also gave me ideas for paint, draperies, etc - things I would have never thought of. The entire appointment lasted a full three hours and I have left feeling SO excited to start making our house a home - I can't thank Ginger enough, and highly recommend her design services.

Ginger was absolutely fantastic. I truly appreciated her help and was a great resource in thinking through some things we were having difficulty with. She also gave us some great ideas that we hadn't even considered to bring out some features we hadn't even considered.

Ginger came over to help us decide on and come up with some design issues we were having with our house. We worked with an interior decorator in the past that was good at interior decroating, but we felt like she lacked the design and room planning that Ginger was absolutely incredible at!!! She gave us recommendations for our master bed and bath, living room, den, kitchen, and outdoor space. We planned and maximized our 3 hours together and got so much out of it!! I would completely recommend you meet with Ginger and her team if you have an idea of what you want and just need their professional touch. I wish we would have met with her befoe working with another interior designer and trying to do some of the decoration ourselves, it would have saved us SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY!!!!! She made recommendations on what to buy that fit our style and where to buy it, so we can wait for a sale or deal to come up. We will definitely be using her again!!!!! I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but the Walk Through service I got from Ginger at Urbanology Designs deserves to be written about. My husband and I are a month away from moving into our new (and bigger) home, which we will require a ton of new furnishings and decor. As that time approaches, we have been falling down one Pinterest hole after the other, trying to create a vision for our spaces while simultaneously choosing lighting, sofas, counter stools, etc. that are quality, family friendly, beautiful, and also within budget. It was quickly becoming an overwhelming time suck. Hiring Ginger at Urbanology for a Walk Through consultation was THE BEST decision we’ve made for our home and peace of mind, and I’m only sad we didn’t do it sooner. I showed up with some inspiration Pinterest boards and a budget, and Ginger proceeded to blow my mind. As we walked through our new home, Ginger asked questions about function, aesthetic, preference, and then cast her vision and showed me the true potential of each space. Furniture placement, room flow, how to maximize comfort AND visual drama/beauty...every want and need was taken into account. Ginger is SO thoughtful, creative, and elevated in her design process and aesthetic. In that first hour I could vividly see what our new home could look like and finally started to be excited. If our consult had ended there I would have been beyond satisfied, but it didn’t. Ginger sat at the computer with me for the next two hours and poured over website after website until we found the perfect pieces to make the vision into a reality, always keeping our budget in mind. She gave me resources to find exactly what we wanted at our price points, and permission to pull the trigger on items we LOVED but weren’t sure would work. She took mine and my husband’s design tastes, blended them and then elevated the whole home with pieces we would never have thought of. Before this consult, my husband and I, despite spending countless hours online searching, pinning, and adding to cart, had not bought a single thing for our new home. We were paralyzed with indecision. After meeting with Ginger, we bought most of it the next day, are SO excited about how STUNNING and cohesive our home is going to look, and we are SO FAR under budget I have cried actual tears of joy. To sum it up, hire Ginger. Hire Urbanology Designs. They’re going to take your space beyond what you even think is possible, and are worth every single penny and more. Also, aside from being a design genius, she’s an absolute delight. Once you’ve worked with her, you’ll want to be her friend.

We recently bought a new home and I have felt overwhelmed and paralyzed by all of the decisions that go into making our home feel cohesive and finished.. We didn't have the budget to work with a designer on a full scale but I needed help and a plan. I cannot recommend Ginger's walk thru consultation enough. After 3 hours with her, I had an overall vision and a plan for every room in our house--- a list of things to purchase, paint colors to use, swatches to order, etc... Ultimately, she saved me time, money and frustration by pointing out things that I didn't foresee like the light fixture I planned to use being too small for the space, the bunkbeds being to tall, etc... This service was SO incredibly helpful and worth every penny . I can't wait to see it all come together!

All I can say is WOW. The Urbanology team is truly magical. There are just no other words. I hired them for their full service design work to help me furnish my entire home. We moved from NYC to Dallas and needed all new furniture as well as paint, wallpaper, draperies and lighting. The result was truly fantastic and the process was fun! Ginger and her team went above and beyond all expectations we had for this project. Ginger approached us and offered to donate her time to redo two of the bedrooms in our charity's restoration home for girls rescued from human trafficking. We had pulled the house together on a shoestring budget and only hoped to make it more cozy and inviting with the renovation. Where do I even begin with how INCREDIBLE Ginger is?! I recently had my consultation with her and she showed up on time (actually several minutes early :) ) and started sharing her ideas right away. Our home is still in construction mode, but she was able to show/give me vision of all the potential it has that I wouldn't have been able to see without her. She has SO many great ideas that I NEVER could have come up with on my own. If you're anything like me (know what you like but don't really know HOW to get it to look polished, finished, etc.) I definitely think a consultation is a great way to go. I was so excited for my design consult with Ginger and the day of exceeded my expectations. My husband and I recently purchased a home and decided to make a few cosmetic tweaks. I am a 5th generation custom woodworker with 20 years experience. Working with Ginger and her team has been one of the best professional experiences I have come across in the industry. When I first started working with Ginger on this project, I was surprised that even though she is incredibly creative and unique in her ideas, she is also extremely down to earth and approachable. She has the ability to interact with the client on the creative level to develop a concept unique to them and their spaces, but then turn right around and work with the subcontractors on the implementation level to make that concept a reality and being able to do both this well is extremely rare. The biggest thing that stood out to me though is the attention to detail and the level of quality in the pieces they selected. In this industry, it is easy to cut corners by not entirely finishing out a space, or by using inferior materials or products that look nice on the outside, but do not hold up over time. When designers and contractors do this, it allows them to maximize their personal profits at the cost of the client sacrificing quality, and sadly, it is an extremely common practice. It was so encouraging to see that Ginger and her team held to the highest quality in all aspects of the spaces they created and took every detail into consideration. As a craftsman, this puts them on the top of my list. We are in the process of remodeling an older home and wanted to get Ginger's advice on selections, colors etc. She came out as a part of her "Walk Through Consultation" offering and did a great job getting inside our head and then making recommendations. She has the ability to listen well and then apply that to design recommendations. What makes her unique is her ability to see the whole picture AND tend to the details in that context. Not only that but she can do a pretty thorough job of answering all your questions, adding things you hadn't thought of, and all in two hours. It's not a replacement for a full time designer but its a great sanity check or second opinion for the DIY'r or for someone to decide to hire Ginger. We'd hire her in a minute if she had the availability right now to complete our project, but we found the two hours to be VERY helpful.
