Wall color

Please tell me what the wall paint color is and brand of paint, looks to be in the yellow family and I am interested in colors that go with gray counters and beige and gray ceramic tile, cherry cabinets. I am referring to the pic by old town bath and kitchen.

It is Benjamin Moore. I can't remember the name but the number is 185. We have used 184, 185, and 186 depending on the situation. Just ask at your local Benjamin Moore and they can pull the card for you. It is toned down and not overly yellow.

Ganz klar Wandfarbe! Denn damit kann man nicht nur den Raum gestalten, sondern auch das Wohnklima deutlich verbessern. Mein absoluter Favorit: Tonfarben! Die Farben, wie z.B. die von Emoton, sehen nicht nur toll aus und regulieren das Raumklima, sondern haben auch die wunderbare Fähigkeit, Giftstoffe aus der Raumluft zu binden. Ein wahres Träumchen und deshalb ganz klar besser als Tapete!

Hi, I would suggest white for the bookshelve to keep it as neutral as possible for colorfull books. But I don't see a need to go with the same color for the sideboard. this can be doone in either grey or any darker color you like. Could be a nice eyecatcher. Christiane

Hi Ella, first of all, let me say that you have some really nice vintage pieces in your home! If you are planning to keep the light grey rug I would go with a darker shade of grey for the daybed and a lighter shade or a completely different color for the fabric of the sidechair (e.g. like the dark blue in your third photo) in order to create more contrast and give the room a more dynamic feel. You also mentioned a portrait to be hung above the sideboard - maybe the colors of this picture can aslo inspire the fabrics, it's always nice if the same color pops up in different details of a room. The pillowcase gives you a good impression. For me light colours do not work as good as darker ones. The petrol (right corner) would be great. But what colour does the girls love? If it is pink you go for a darker one or purple. And it is always best to test the look first. So buy just a small sample of the colour and try. If a dark colour is too dark for you, just paint one wall and the others white.
