      My guess would have been one of these:

      1/ somewhere in Spain on one of the islands - lanzarote etc
      2/ South Africa but not sure as I've never been
      3/ Adriatic coast in Croatia somewhere. Why - because the building looks to be like limestone and red roofs which is very typical of that part of the world and the vegetation with the exception of the Palm Tree is very typical.

      I think Southern California due to the architecture in the area, the palm tree and, unfortunately, the smog.
