Hi everyone, am providing a layout of our first home. Pls do suggest regarding kitchen splash Back. As it's an open kitchen l shaped which has splash back also l shaped. Am thinking of green splash back and black cabinets white bench top and island bench top and white tiles all over living area and kitchen. As kitchen is the main thing in hall which everyone can see. Does green glare a lot and just it catch he's every ones eye leaving everything else??

Builder was telling colours should flow and should match. So have a think about look with fusion green splash back. As in the below image u can c tiles splash back matches and cabinet and bench top matches as well with red dots and bench top. I don't prefer this colour cabinets how ever. Just thinking of look and brightness in home as we enter. Pls do provide suggestions. Waiting for ur comments. Thanks

being open design all colours must blend from kitchen to living area although green is for nature in food areas i would not use a strong green but use a plant or 2 instead

I agree with Fee Sarge - that green is too bright. Because you are going with black cabinetry and white benchtops I would suggest a pale green, grey or white.

Here are a couple of photos to look at:

I agree with Fee Sarge. If you love green add those as decorating accents - even a green pot with plant, mugs etc etc (as I know it would be hard getting jugs & toaster as green)

I have just chosen my kitchen and family room colours and decided to stick to white floors, cabinetry, green glass painted white splashback which gives a lovely soft green colour and shitake ceaserstone benchtops. Once this is installed I will bring in colour with vases and accessories. Main concern is any colour you bring in will date quickly and you will get tired of it. if you keep it simple you can dress it up. It is a huge decision so chose carefully, your kitchen specialist is always a good guide, listen to their suggestions. Good luck.

My advice would be to continue the white stone bench top up the wall (splashback) to underneath the window ledge all the way around and then put a dark mirror above it (up to underneath the wall cabinets, on the back wall to make the room appear bigger.

I think the green may date and you could become tired of it, if you chose a more neutral colour and added coloured kitchen small appliances this would give you chance to change up the colour
