Suggestions to furnish/decorate long fireplace wall

This is a long, shallow room with windows very close to corners and fireplace in center.

    I would put chairs on each side of the fireplace with art work above each chair.

      Not on the wall you are showing. It is a focal point wall. If you have the need I would look for another wall, perhaps the wall to the right of the picture near the bar stools?

      Shelving is a pain. You have to fill them and dust them. A couple of consoles on each side of FP with art. And a sofa table behind the sofa will break up that boring back.

      Different art but similar colors, and you can use different lamps for more interest. You need some flooring lighting. Of course, the consoles would be on the floor :>)

      Top of art should be no higher than window tops

      I think you should extend your fireplace to the ceiling either through additional stonework or mounding and paint. That will give the room some needed vertical lines.

      Perhaps something to echo the shape of the clipped gable line of the ceiling?

      How about extending the width of the mantel and building bookshelves below on each side. They could be closed if you are concerned about dust. Then large art above. A slim sofa table ( with lighting) would be a nice addition.

      Maybe a wall unit as such.. Something you can keep busy with a few plants and some fillers

      Maybe some nice bull head in silver or copper finish...
