Backsplash around sink area in kitchen or not?

We have some windows around our kitchen sink and we are trying to determine if we should carry our backsplash around the window area. Our home was built in 1997 and had back splash installed. We are upgrading our kitchen and our installer said it would look terrible. We think it will look bare if we don't. We need help and would appreciate any suggestions.

    Can you provide any pictures of this area? It's hard to say before seeing the space!

    If I understand the question. The backsplash usually goes from bottom of cabinets around the wall. It usually meets the window where the cabinet bottoms are and does not go all the up and around.

    Do not go by what your installer says. Find pics on Google Images. See what you like.
