    @bellburgmaggie: This was posted in the before and after section, not design dilemma. As for the "gaudy" design, this was the clients' preference and what the decor of their residence called for. Most of the clients I work with reside in estate homes, and yes, they are that 1%; this is what my 20 years of success has been built on. Take care.

      Why are you posting this? What design dilemma is this posing? My only comment - such a gaudy design element would be a challenge to appropriately place in 99.99% of private residences.
