Redoing our basement. Need ideas with tile flooring

Basement flooded. Redoing with tile flooring. And want a new open feeling

    no risk of cracking. can not crack unless concrete substrate cracks. basements cracks are almost always a product of shrinkage cracking when the concrete is first poured. very rare to have basement floor crack after the concrete has been down for year. the material bonds 100% to the concrete, and will never crack unless the concrete beneath it does. cracks and tack-strip holes and other surface anomalies are filled with epoxy mortar and ground flush before first coat of epoxy goes down. Reflector Enhancer epoxy is an opaque process, not semi-translucent, so even if you have ugly flooring trenches, pits, damage etc, it all gets filled in and repaired, and you'll never see it through the floor.

      You want tile right? Then go for long planks of tile (like fake wood tiles which are getting better by the year)
      Look at Ed's photos - all of these could be in tile (waterproof, hardwearing, a little colder on the feet) but a rug over it could really help

      Tile can still be damaged with flooding, and Do a seamless epoxy floor. More beauty and elegance than any tile that can be installed under $10 / sqft.

      plus no seams or grout - much more sanitary, and it's a radon block.
