Need help on floor color for new build

We have decided on luxury vinyl planks for our new build but I'm having trouble deciding on the color and texture. The interior walls are minimalist 1 Haymes and ceiling Greyology 1. My kitchen is Laminex Polar White Silk finish cabinentry with ice snow caeserstone with a tiled splashback which im still working on color. The vinyl planks will be in all areas excepts bedrooms and living room which im go to have a light to medium grey carpet. I have medium brown tone wood on my furniture. My dining chairs as pictured are a brown color and sofa for family room is a latte color . The floors I do like have been on the lighter side as the house we had previously had light ceramic tiles I would really appreciate someone else's opinion so I can actually decide on one. We have already built before and that house was easy to work out colors. Just struggling a little this time around.

Kommentare (1)Hi yoursra dodo, a lot of children love yellow. Yellow with a red pigment makes a room friendly and cosy. And when it is dark, rainy and grey outside, yellow cheers you up. if you select the colour, hold the sample next to the door, the floor and the blue "sky" above the bed. Look at it in dayligth (sunny and cloudy) and in the night with electric lighting....mehrUnique kitchen layout
Kommentare (11)Hi Ella, wow, that looks like a real challenge... The really low "Kniestock" together with your size doesn´t work well. I think you need to move the kitchen pretty far into the room to be able to properly move around and operate the kitchen. For instance if you imagine standing in front of the sink - if i read the floorplan correctly, if you move just a little bit to the right, you´ll bump your head into the angled wall. In addition, the whole area below the angled wall is actually not usable for a worktop area, because it´s just too low. Even if you place storage room there, it´s not really comfortable to reach. Can you add some more picture of the rest of the room? I think you need a complete layout including dining area and living room area and not only focus on the kitchen. Kommentare (19)Hi Ella, first of all, let me say that you have some really nice vintage pieces in your home! If you are planning to keep the light grey rug I would go with a darker shade of grey for the daybed and a lighter shade or a completely different color for the fabric of the sidechair (e.g. like the dark blue in your third photo) in order to create more contrast and give the room a more dynamic feel. You also mentioned a portrait to be hung above the sideboard - maybe the colors of this picture can aslo inspire the fabrics, it's always nice if the same color pops up in different details of a room. vor 6 JahrenGood luck with the colour choice! When we extended our house at the start of this year, the colour choice really did my head in! We ended up going for a product called NFD Innovation in 'light teak' and am really pleased with how it turned out. Light teak was an in-between colour as I found many colours were too dark, grey or light! Looks very natural in real life, not sure if the pictures do it any justice.

vor 6 JahrenNot sure how it comes up in vinyl planks but i chose spotted gum ( Quickstep Readyflor) and am thrilled with the look. The large range of colours through the floors means it suits a range of timbers and furnishing colours. Good luck with your choosing
