Are floor registers recommended or would it also work coming from under a base cabinet toe kick or island toe kick? This floor one seems like you'd stand on it and it could be awkward when standing to open those wall cabinets near the window.

    Hello Andrea,

    There are a variety of factors when deciding on floor register locations - air distribution, practicality, aesthetics, etc. The most effective location for air distribution is near the window, which is why we chose this location in this particular project. The adjacent cabinet doors are large enough that you wouldn't be standing on the register when you need access. Toe kick registers are common and we use them, too; but one thing to consider is how a toe kick register and connecting duct tend to heat (or cool) the cabinet above them. For this project, it was important to keep the marble baking countertop as cool and constant as possible. I hope that helps!
