1) dark or light/no stain on wood for the shelves on metal rack?
2) ditch current metal rack and have hubby build new wood ones?
3) ideas for walls next to and in front of toilet, I was considering corner shelves.

Kommentare (8)I'd suggest a neutral, rather "grown-up" style as a basis and childlike, cute little details to create a room appropriate to your daughter's age. How about a grayish or brownish wall color, like Farrow & Ball's Mouse's Back or Light Gray? Golden Polka dots could be easily applied and removed when you choose wall stickers (https://www.houzz.com/products/vinyl-wall-sticker-decal-art-polka-dots-by-urban-walls-set-of-50-prvw-vr~4971601). They add a cute yet modern and stylish touch. I love this idea! Go for white curtains in case you paint your walls. I personally love the haptic of nya nordiska's LIMA, it's made of wool (http://www.nya.com/de/product/lima). In case of white walls, go for a rather striking curtain. nya nordiska even offers a transparent material with little golden dots (http://www.nya.com/de/product/puntilla-cs)! Now that you have the basis, add colorful details to the room. A striking carpet, a floor lamp, toys... They look great in grayish surroundings but can be changed any time. Kommentare (21)Dieses Holzstück sieht sehr speziell aus. Als erstes kannst man bei einem Holzhändler schauen. Ich glaube bei einem Holzhändler ist es sehr leicht solche Platten zu bekommen. Die Person muss dann schauen ob sie es selber bearbeiten will oder nicht. Ich glaube, wenn man selber bearbeitet wird es viel kraft kosten. Wenn man es professionell bearbeiten lässt, wäre bestimmt alles um die 1000 Euro oder bisschen mehr. Man kann aber auch online schauen auf Seiten wie https://www.lionshome.at/moebel-gartenbaenke/holz/ , die Produkte von verschiedenen Händlern bieten. Kommentare (9)Hey Alice, Yes I know, it's so hard to pick one as there are so many beautiful ones! Yes, I would definitely choose one that's shorter than the sideboard! You could go for something white and simple or something made out of the same wood as the table legs or something that matches the metallic thingy over the desk. I think I would choose a simply white one or a metallic one. Or you could also just put a picture ledge there and then put the artwork on it and maybe a nice candle or a small plant. Depending on the shelf and the size of the artwork, I would put the artwork on it :) Also you shouldn't hang it too high, it shouldn't lose look disconnected from the sideboard. I would say about as high as the grid over the desk but it also depends on the shelf. vor 5 JahrenSo I’m having my husband make shelves similar to the photo here, and we’ll get rid of metal shelves and towel ring. I’ve tried to take pictures at different angles of the bathroom. I feel like it’s “off-center” because everything is on one side. I’m thinking of adding pictures like Jan Moyer suggested, how many should I do? Maybe double stacked canvas prints of mountain pics we took on our last vaca, but how large would you do? I tried to show the wall corner to trim is 33” and from corner to end of light switch is 22.5”. Thanks for any and all help!

The light is utilitarian at best. There are many better and inexpensive. ( Pottery Barn below ) Frankly, I'm not even a hand towel fan , nor the sharing of germs that go with them. A box of guest paper towels to suit the color in the bath are readily available., set it on the john, and it is both hand towel and nose tissue.....( none of us would use a single towel in a restaurant, would we?)
As to the pictures, either are fine. AS framed photography, and matted!. No need to convert to canvas art. Frame six at 16 x 20. Two over toilet and four on the wall you see most upon entry. Add more opposite if you like.
Get over the shelves. Not needed. Change the light. It is NOT your bathroom. Its a guest bath. You already have suggestions for TP storage............nobody needs more than four rolls in there at one time. Pills, lipstick, hairbrush touch up, fine. In the medicine cab. Soap and hand lotion on the sink. AIR FRESHENERS? Skip it. They are worse than the original odor. : ) A simple check of the state of the bath every other day is all that is needed. Clean, and the basics handy and full. It's a pee and wash. Not a hangout. : ) or spa.
