Need help with living room

new floors coming next week as well as fireplace accent with brick

the couch will stay new lovesac sectional

rug is changeable with ruggable

sorry for the clutter i sold a sideboard type table and mirror that was on the blank wall. so the contents are placed on the floor

i am open for any suggestions. im struggling with what to do for the windows

coffer table and side tables will go and replace with something new

would like to keep art on wall we like a coastal souther type look

put the TV on the wall above the doggie bed. It is too high above the fireplace.

on each window separately, inside mount.

the picture is too high... 8-10 inches off the back of the sofa... good choice ruggables.com I just purchased two new rugs and they are better than expected! Happy decorating!

You might consider looking into a round coffee table or storage ottoman to help give you some curves. We also might suggest moving the TV to the wall where the dog bed is and hanging a lovely piece of artwork over the fireplace. Here is some inspiration from various designers:

auch ein spannendes, immer wieder aufkommendes Thema. Liebe(r) I Bergmann, für viele Menschen ist das, was Sie sich kaum vorstellen konnten auch gleichbedeutend mit Kostenintensiv, was aber gar nicht sein muss. In eurem Betrag scheint die Problematik eine Nische geringer Tiefe zu sein in einem schmalen Flur, die raumhoch geschlossen werden soll (was ich hoffentlich so richtig verstanden habe?) Es gibt diverse Möbelhäuser, die oft Schrankprogramme haben, die sehr vielfältig sind. Da gibt es zB. auch Schränke, die nur eine Geringe Tiefe haben. Die kann man auch in solche Nischen stellen. Dann braucht es nur noch den Gang zum nächsten Schreiner oder ggfls. auch in den Baumarkt und man Kauft drei Bretter aus beschichteter Spanplatte (19mm). Zwei davon so hoch wie der Schrank und ½ so breit wie die Differenz zwischen Nischenbreite und Schrankbreite. Das sind die Passleisten links und rechts vom Schrank. Zu Hause noch mit einer Stichsäge die Passleisen unten ausschneiden, daß die Sockelleisten nicht stören und die Leisten seitlich am Korpus befestigen. Das Dritte Brett füllt den Raum oberhalb des Korpus bis zur Decke aus. Damit es nicht umfällt einfach eine Leiste unter die Decke schrauben, die in einer Flucht mit der Frontlinie des Korpus läuft. Jetzt noch die drei Bretter so behandeln wie die übrigen Wände (Tapete, Malerglattflies, Farbe, etc...) und die Türen vom Schrank einhängen – fertig ist die wirklich preisgünstige Alternative zur angefertigten Sonderlösung, die nun nahezu jeder auch mit einfachen Mitteln und handwerklicher Motivation hinbekommen kann. Von einer Rahmenstruktur an den Wänden um dieses Fachwerk dann mit Türen zu schließen rate ich dringend ab. Kein Haus ist wirklich winkelig und starr gebaut, so daß es immer schiefe Winkel und Bewegung gibt. Außerdem sind die Kosten der einzelnen Elemente ungleich höher als ein Fertigmöbel und das handwerklich motiviert zu sein ist dafür sicher nicht ausreichend. PS: Die Türen von einfachen Modellen kann man sehr leicht aufpeppen – sei es durch folieren, lackieren, vollflächig oder teilweise bekleben, etc... Es gibt unmengen an Foren, die sich nur damit beschäftigen. Also nur Mut, habt Spaß und fragt ggfls. noch einmal nach, es ist wirklich recht leicht eine professionell aussehende Lösung mit kleinem Budget und etwas Eigenleistung zu realisieren. Für andere Stauraumlösungen bieten sich hervorragend Küchenmöbel an. Sie sind meist recht preiswert und können gut untereinander angeordnet werden. So lassen sich mit ein paar Passleisten eine schier unendliche Fülle von Lösungen zu günstigen Konditionen leicht selbst bauen. Und wer sich handwerklich für zu ungeschickt hält: Für ein paar Passleisten braucht ein Schreiner nicht allzu lang, was den Preis seiner Arbeit erheblich gegenüber einer Gesamtanfertigung minimiert...

Unter den Houzz Produkten ist sie leider nicht zu finden. Houzz ist kein Katalog, hier können User ihre Fotos ( manche sind mit Shop verlinkt. Dafür dann das Foto und "mehr" anklicken) hochladen. Möglicherweise ist die Vase auf solch einem Foto abgebildet. Deshalb der Hinweis auf Houzz Ist es diese? Hi Ella, first of all, let me say that you have some really nice vintage pieces in your home! If you are planning to keep the light grey rug I would go with a darker shade of grey for the daybed and a lighter shade or a completely different color for the fabric of the sidechair (e.g. like the dark blue in your third photo) in order to create more contrast and give the room a more dynamic feel. You also mentioned a portrait to be hung above the sideboard - maybe the colors of this picture can aslo inspire the fabrics, it's always nice if the same color pops up in different details of a room. The TV is much too high, as is the art work. Two comments below give good suggestions. I think your end tables work. The room is feeling a bit crowded. I’s consider a coffee table that is not too big or chunky. Glass or acrylic so you can see through it, feels more open.

What about trying roman shades for the windows? It might be easier and work better than curtains. Then, perhaps, look at lowering the artwork over the sectional. Notice how the artwork in the image below is hung.

You can create a focal point by adding a large TV or a framed picture. You can make the central wall the focal point by covering it self adhesive wallpaper . You can choose any design you like.

Add more light. Coastal Southern style is often characterized by light and airy spaces. You can add more light by hanging large windows or choosing light-colored furniture and finishes.
