Help! Trying to fill in this empty space that can be seen from entry below and hallway above. Any ideas?

    I would put a piece of art on the wall and nothing on the landing floor;)

    a few suggestions - you could paint it & make it a feature wall, or you could find a fab piece of art to hang there - an unframed canvas or iron art.

    Think BIG so it will make a statement and keep it simple.

    I have included a couple of ideas, not in similar area as yours but just to give you idea of impact the right piece can make.....

    HI -- If you need more storage or there is a closet on the other side of that wall then you could extend it . Or you could build it into a storage closet from the hall - even over hanging it a bit to get the width and remove part of the railing for a door off the upper floor . Can you use more linen storage ? Or you could hang a long fabric banner or a long painting and set a large sculpture in front . What you put up there depends on how much you want to get up there to dust . I always recommend using large resin garden sculptures because they tend not to show the dust . One good thing the builder did was not putting leftover molding on the front edge . Designtoscana.com or Restorationhardware.com for large décor objects .
