Alderwood Landscape Architecture and ConstructionThe final design includes several "courtyard" and transitional spaces to accommodate the unique grading and provide several lounge spaces. Each of the home's many windows provides a different, picturesque view of the water feature focal point. The hot tub is purposefully close to the house for easy access, yet carefully positioned out of sight from the rest of the lounge areas so as to not draw attention away from the focal point.
Quaint seating spaces, a fire pit lounge area, and a covered dining space are accented by ornamental grasses, hydrangeas, and night lighting. Our clients are thrilled with how the final project made their oddly shaped yard now perfectly fit their landscape needs and desires!
greencube garden and landscape designWe have a designed a modern, textural courtyard in Sevenoaks using a muted palette of wood, grey porcelain and nordic tier cladding. This semi-enclosed space creates a wonderful connection to the newly refurbished home which leads up to the lawn and summerhouse. We've planted perennials, ornamental grasses and roses, added a backbone of evergreen structure and a raised planter to create a vertical green wall rather than 3 separate borders.

Ravenscourt Landscaping and Design LLCakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. Yaki means to heat with fire, and sugi is cypress.[1][2] It is referred to in the West as burnt timber cladding and also known as shou sugi ban (焼杉板) which uses the same kanji characters but an incorrect pronunciation. The ban character means "plank". By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable.[3][4] It also protects against insects, as well as making the wood fire retardant.[5] - Wiki
