TATCOR Building & RemodelingThe support columns were integrated into the half wall bar. Dark wood was used to offset the stark white columns and dark granite countertop on one side of the wall. Comfortable, stylish bar stools with wooden backs and leather seats were set up along the half wall bar, making convenient seating for either watching the TV, having a drink with friends, or working on your laptop. The seating matches the dark wood of the wall, making it feel like one piece. Line of glass panels provide plenty of natural lighting as well as a gorgeous view into the back yard, which you can access through one of the sliding doors. Recessed lighting and smart hanging light fixtures were also added to make up the difference in lighting on rainy/cloudy days and for evening gatherings/activities.
Gorgeous dark wood flooring was installed to match the dark wood of the half-wall bar and other accents in the room. The walls and ceiling match the support columns with a stark white, helping to keep the space bright – which is especially helpful when using the space for work purposes.

ClosedWe really enjoyed consulting and designing this basement project design and I’m very pleased with how it turned out! We did a complimenting color scheme between the wall and base cabinets by using a grey for the base and white for the wall. We did black handle pulls for all the cabinets to bring the two colors together. We went with a white oak style for the floor to really bring the light through the entire basement. This helps carry the light through the space which is always a good idea when you don’t have many windows to play with. For the backsplash we chose a glossy textured/wavy subway tile to add some depth and texture to the kitchens character.I really enjoyed consulting this basement project design and I’m very pleased with how it turned out! Bead board was added to the back of the open shelves and the existing cabinets were painted grey to coordinate with the bar. Curated NestMedia room / family room basement: We transformed a large finished basement in suburban New Jersery into a farmhouse inspired, chic media / family room. The barn door media cabinet with iron hardware steals the show and makes for the perfect transition between TV-watching to hanging out and playing family games. A cozy gray fabric on the sectional sofa is offset by the elegant leather sofa and acrylic chair. This family-friendly space is adjacent to an open-concept kids playroom and craft room, which echo the same color palette and materials with a more youthful look. The home is completely eco-friendly, so formaldehyde free material was a must-have. The client chose a dark gray laminate in our Moonlight color that met his "green" requirement. Aluminum Omni Track wall tracks with specialized accessories were hung along the walls.
