The whole project was based around the driveway and so had to ensure a clear path was made to the front door. I incorporated a light box as a feature and included paving to draw the eye to the front door. The lightbox rusted colour tones was chosen to blend with the natural timber on the house. Soft lighting was introduced to make it easy for vehicles and pedestrians making their way to the home at night. A timber trellis to the left of the property formed a division and privacy screen from the neighbouring driveways and homes.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignLagoon-side property in the Bel Marin Keys, Novato, CA. Entertaining and enjoying the views were a primary design goal for this project. The project includes a large camaru deck with built-in seating. The concrete steps and pavers lead down to the water's edge. I included a sunken patio on one side and a beautiful Buddha statue on the other, surrounded by succulents and other low-water, contemporary plantings. The plant medley includes Sea Lavender, Blue Oat Grass, Bulbine - Snake plant, Parrot's Beak and others.

TLC GardensModern Courtyard integrated with home style, view corridors and flow patterns. Concrete has sand finish, artificial turf is installed between the pavers, IPE deck tiles used for dining area and restoration hardware fire pit was used.

Christine Wilkie Garden DesignThe front garden of this period Edwardian propertywas a large expanse of concrete hard standing, and overgrown planting. The aim of the garden design was to create a garden that combined space for off-street parking for one car, architectural soft landscaping as well as a spot in which to sit and enjoy the garden. The style of the new garden had to be sympathetic to the house and it was important that the end result was more contemporary front garden than everyday driveway. Additional screening to the neigbouring boundary wall was a key requirement, as was the need to keep an existing cherry tree.
