Robeson Design
Master Bedroom and Retreat. San Diego Interior Designer, Rebecca Robeson, designed this end of the long and narrow Bedroom to be a place her clients would look forward to coming home to. The king size bed with pair of nightstands, created a strong but soothing focal point. Rebecca added the needed softness with luxury bedding, and dreamy window treatments hung from a dark rod to compliment the pair of mirrors on either side of the bed. A decorative mirror in the center and you have perfect symmetry!

Turbo Beds
Dreams with lots of adventures are awaiting for you in this bedroom set. Bed is shaped like a pirate ship with its rounded bow and curved stern. Features brown metallic details and a polished wood. Hide-away bed easily pulls out.
Debra May Himes, ASID, IIDA, LEED AP
Not only was I responsible for all the finish details for this space, but I also designed all the furniture. The bowed nightstands are detailed with copper tubing accents, and the Master Bed stands 72" at it's highest point.

From skiing in the Swiss Alps to water sports in Key Biscayne, a relocation for a Chilean couple with three small children was a sea change. “They’re probably the most opposite places in the world,” says the husband about moving
from Switzerland to Miami. The couple fell in love with a tropical modern house in Key Biscayne with architecture by Marta Zubillaga and Juan Jose Zubillaga of Zubillaga Design. The white-stucco home with horizontal planks of red cedar had them at hello due to the open interiors kept bright and airy with limestone and marble plus an abundance of windows. “The light,” the husband says, “is something we loved.”
While in Miami on an overseas trip, the wife met with designer Maite Granda, whose style she had seen and liked online. For their interview, the homeowner brought along a photo book she created that essentially offered a roadmap to their family with profiles, likes, sports, and hobbies to navigate through the design. They immediately clicked, and Granda’s passion for designing children’s rooms was a value-added perk that the mother of three appreciated. “She painted a picture for me of each of the kids,” recalls Granda. “She said, ‘My boy is very creative—always building; he loves Legos. My oldest girl is very artistic— always dressing up in costumes, and she likes to sing. And the little one—we’re still discovering her personality.’”

The inspiration for the space began with a large-scaled vintage wall covering, defining the destiny of the master suite. The client’s style was a clash between eclectic, vintage and luxury modern, creating a design challenge. The divergence of style and color tones of the adjacent spaces added to the complexity. Material finishes enhance the architectural detailing and define the perimeter of the space, complimenting the furnishings. A custom velvet gray headboard adds a bold statement without detracting from the wallpaper. Layers of soft colors and silky textures further refine the vintage ambiance, creating an elegant retreat.
