The Butterfly House
We were priveleged to work on the interiors of the iconic Butterfly House in Carmel California. This is one of the few properties that are placed directly on the ocean side of Scenic Road in Carmel by the Sea. The name is derived from it's unique roof line in the shape of butterfly's wings. The property is very angular both in it's roof and the seaside orientation. Throughout the renovation, the owners were sensitive in their resoration of this landmark, and referred to the original plans and advice of the descendents of the original achitect.
