Matthew Murrey DesignDesigned to entertain, this site was maximized to create an extension of the home. The project boasts a complete outdoor kitchen, multiple covered seating areas, a gas fireplace, outdoor TV's and state-of-the-art sound system, a pool, spa, and putting green. From daytime swimming to an intimate evening dinner party, followed by a late night game on the putting green, this backyard has something for the whole family to enjoy.
Bremner Pool & SpaThe theme is tones of grey. We installed grey 3”aluminum coping , 6’ straight grey granite steps and Covington Slate interlocking stone deck with a darker soldier course stone around the pool perimeter. We installed a blue full pattern liner with no border to keep the liner simple. To support the hedge side stone, we constructed a stone dry wall. Notice the spruce handrail is offset from center to allow more seating area.

TimberTownBuilt overlooking the Texas Hill Country in Austin, TX, this architect-designed home needed a face lift to the outdoor living space. Keeping the existing pool, the homeowners rebuilt built the lower and upper decks using Azek PVC decking and a vertical cable rail panel by Fortress. The resulting outdoor living area is almost as remarkable as the view.

The L-shaped pool sits easily in the yard. Its stone clad stairs mirror those coming off the house, while the hot tub slips within the overall lines of the pool. The pool house sits at the pools' end and acts as a visual anchor and the focal point. Pennsylvania flagstone surrounds the pool and carries up to the back door through raised beds and under a simple but handsome arbor.
