Gilbert House Ideas
DG: Like the counter with the wood and the windows. Again, lighting and a bright feel are key for me. Dark finishes are elegant, as long as they are "paired" with good lighting. SG: Like the simple clean lines. I like the dark black contrasting with the woods and I like these wood color tones. Almost a cherry on the left side and the right side looks lighter. The counter top also compliments the colors. Don't care for the backsplash. The light fixtures are simple but interesting.
We are intrigued by the bowl sink concept. Seems to bring the water closer to your face for washing your face and shaving. Also could make extra room on the vanity. Are there downsides to this style? Looks kind of cool. Warmer color scheme is also an interesting option, DG: I have always like the look of this room. The finishes work so well together. I don't love the floor. Maybe loose the frame around the mirror. Prefer faucets from wall instead of counter top.
I like the idea of a dark interesting wall. But we need under sink storage. Interested in bowl sinks but not sure what it does to counter space. These sinks have nice clean lines which we like. The wood material is a nice touch if it is practical(?) Like this color combo of wood and slate. DG: Agreed.
SG: This one of our #1 choices overall. cool example of dark brick work behind vanities. Like the texture and pattern of this brick work. Would like a bigger single mirror, but might be nice to mount it with indirect lighting behind it. We don't like open towel storage space (impractical - will get messy. rather have drawers) We like the faucet coming out of the wall. Like the light and dark color combination Prefer the look of the floating vanity. DG: Nice
Are we restricted to siding? by the city? Or by personal choice?
