RUG STAR: under this label, Jürgen Dahlmanns designs and produces luxurious, contemporary rug art, specialized on the hand-knotted Tibetan and Persian weave techniques, produced in the Himalayan mountains, the deserts of Rajasthan, and the valleys of Afghanistan. Diversity, movement, color, quality, and storytelling patterns are the label’s mantras. Jürgen Dahlmanns doesn’t want to confine himself to one style – he is interested in the diversity of the living environments – RUG STAR has developed 1.400 contemporary rug designs since its foundation, which are all available and customizable on request. Custom and bespoke rugs are the trademarks of RUG STAR: “As an architect, I see the architectural dimension of the hand-knotted contemporary rug. RUG STAR is specialized in custom and bespoke rugs. I consider my designs to be complete only after they are installed in their intended resting place. For me, it’s the lock-and-key principle. Different types of architecture always have a special feature, and rooms often have a problem. Once everything is combined with my carpets and a balance is established in the space – only then are they perfect to me.”
