Simon listened to our ideas and designed a layout has provided us with beautiful living space. He guided us through the planning process so that our planning application was supported by the council within the 8 week timeframe. He met every deadline and did so in a professional yet relaxed manner. Further support and advice was provided as we appointed a builder and Charles Blake kept a helpful eye as the project went ahead, Everything went just as smoothly and on schedule. “We have used Trotman Taylor; aka Clayton Taylor, on 2 occasions: The first time was for plans to build a 3 bay cart lodge - the plans produced were creative,comprehensive and instrumental in getting planning approval from Dartmoor National Park. Clayton guided us through the whole process. The second time was to integrate a separated upper floor from the main house and link it into the other floors. Again Clayton provided plans that were imaginative, innovative and maximised the use of the space. He also assisted with the application for Building Control to a successful conclusion. In both cases Clayton was thorough with several site visits, he communicated well at all stages of the planning with patience and full explanations of the different options for the build. His business plan was clearly set out. Clayton was able to recommend local builders and tradesmen all of whom said that ‘if you can't build off Claytons plans , you cant build off anything as they are so comprehensive and leave nothing to chance!’ We consider Cayton’s services to be excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to use this business again and we would recommend him to anyone.”

“A really outstanding business. We used the team at Woodford to help us update an old Rectory we had purchased. Gavin developed the new design for our kitchen, en-suite master bedroom and two other bathrooms. He picked up very cleverly on existing design elements of the original Georgian rectory and incorporated these into a modern but appropriate twist for the new designs. We ended up following all Sarah's proposals for flooring, wall colours, kitchen & bathroom fixtures & fittings. She also developed beautiful ideas for curtains and roman-blinds and was able to recommend a great local company who provided the fabrication (and who did a really good job on this). In summary, their advice and professionalism was wide-ranging, great value-for-money and time-generous. Gavin & Sarah and the team at Woodford absolutely exceeded our expectations.”
