“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“We had Ms. Levaca (women owed) come to view our project that my wife and I thought we were looking for. Little did we know that Ms. Levaca had such designed capabilities while we walked and showed her the area. B the time we finished we revised the project based on her vision and design ideas right there on the spot! She was incredible!!! Ms. LeVaca knows what she is doing and took the time to talk with us to get an understanding of what our needs are! She asked all the right questions, like where we will spend the most time, what do we plan on doing? We are big entertainers and lik to have partys but also sit and relax after a hard days work. We did a full outdoor kitchen, fireplace, retaining walls and pizza oven. It was the best investment we ever made. I would recommend Levaca Construction to anyone.”

“We have hired Laura for several jobs in our yard, including building a 3-section compost bin with removable slats, an enclosure for our vegetable garden, and a very large fence enclosure for our dogs. The projects were done a few years ago, and there has been no deterioration at all in the materials, even with the rather severe weather we have had. “Manuel and his crew have done several major jobs for us over the past year, and I cannot say enough good things about him and his work. He turned a large, brambly patch of woods full of debris and 30 years worth of vines, weeds, and sticker bushes into a beautiful oasis where we love to spend time. He built a beautiful stone patio, replaced a large section of our lawn with new sod, planted numerous shrubs, large trees, and perennials, all of which are thriving, and built a gravel drainage ditch, incorporating it into the landscape so that it seems like a natural part of the property. Manuel knows his plants, and does a great job of helping you decide where plants should be placed, and where to move existing plants in order to maximize their impact in the landscape. He is an excellent communicator, always responding to messages very quickly, and providing estimates in a timely manner. Finally, Manuel is just a really good person, very friendly, with an equally friendly crew, always full of smiles and good cheer even when they're hauling enormous hemlock trees with root balls the size of wine barrels off the truck. I would not hesitate to recommend MMV Landscaping and Stonework to any of my friends; we are so happy to have found a landscaper we can trust, who does excellent work, and who is reasonably priced.
