My husband had the floors sanded professionally and he then painted them.
We have had the white floors for 5 months and love them, even with 2 dogs and one teenager.
The trick is to treat them as "floors" and not be too precious about them. I mop the floors once a week and sweep every three days or so and they look terrific.

Kommentare (5)I think the lamp above the table is too big and hides part of the picture behind, which is a very nice one. I would prefer a more technical lamp, maybe a rail with some spotlights, possibly suspended. A carpet is a good idea, but I would definitly not put it under the table, because then even more objects would be cluttered in only one half of the room, the carpet should instead lie on the left half of the room in front of the table, so that it is not covered with furniture. It should pick up the style of the picture on the wall. My first idea would be a carpet I own myself, it fits quite nice to the picture: Ligne Roset - Menhir And I would prefer a white dining table, because the colour of the chairs would make a better contrast, the dark wood of table and floor is quite heavy....mehrZwillinge Schlaf Zimmer mit Dach Schalger
Kommentare (6)The pillowcase gives you a good impression. For me light colours do not work as good as darker ones. The petrol (right corner) would be great. But what colour does the girls love? If it is pink you go for a darker one or purple. And it is always best to test the look first. So buy just a small sample of the colour and try. Abgesehen davon finde ich den warmen Holzton der OSB-Platte sehr angenehm und würde ihn nicht grau überstreichen. 1. Der Boden ist schwimmend mit einer Trittschlalldämmung auf dem Bestandsboden verlegt? 2. Es gibt zwei Arten von OSB-Platten: geschliffen und beschichtet. Beschichtete Platten gibt es in geschliffener und ungeschliffener Ausführung. "Zur direkten Lackierung auf der beschichteten Platte sollten ausschließlich lösemittelhaltige PU (DD) Lacke oder Kunstharzlacke verwendet werden. Bei anderen Beschichtungssystemen ist die Verwendung einer geschliffenen (unbeschichteten) Platte erforderlich." So oder so: Um die günstige OSB-Platte dauerhaft für die Nutzung als Fussbodenbelag zu ertüchtigen, bedarf es nach der Verlegung mehrerer Streich- und Schleifvorgänge. Kommentare (6)Since you are not allowed to paint the ceiling, it should be the only wooden surface in the room. The floor can be covered by either wall-to-wall carpet or a large rug, but please check if a door that opens into the room will still be operable. Multi-use and visually light furniture is important in such a tight space. I would replace the bunk bed (you're too grown-up anyway) with a nice sleeper sofa like, for instance, Flottebo. And I'd buy a comfy chair that can be used for reading and as a desk chair. It should be unobtrusive and easy to move like this feminine rattan chair. If you don't need a desk on a daily basis, I'd recommend a height-adjustable notebook table (on casters) that can double as a side table next to the sofa/ bed. Again, multi-use is the key. Once you've chosen new furniture, you can decide on curtains, rug/ carpet and other decorative elements. Wall colors are usually the last decision because you can have millions of hues individually mixed. Also consider how much natural light your room gets....mehr

vor 10 JahrenWe are in Sydney, Australia... unsure if the following are international brands? My husband used Feast & Watson Floor Paint in White Satin (water based) and then 2 coats of Intergrain clear finish (also water based... so with sunlight the floors won't yellow if you use water based)
