Absolute Project Management
We removed a previous half-wall that was the balustrade above the stairwell, replacing it with a stunning oak and iron spindle balustrade. The industrial style worked well with the rest of the flat, having exposed brickwork, timber ceiling beams and steel factory-style windows throughout.
We replaced the previous worn laminate flooring with grey-toned oak flooring. A bespoke desk was fitted into the study nook, with iron hairpin legs to work with the other black fittings in the space. Soft grey velvet curtains were fitted to bring softness and warmth to the room, allowing the view of The Thames and stunning natural light to shine in through the arched window. The soft organic colour palette added so much to the space, making it a lovely calm, welcoming room to be in, and working perfectly with the red of the brickwork and ceiling beams. Spratley & Partners
Once home to antiquarian Horace Walpole, ‘Heckfield Place’ has been judiciously re-crafted into an ‘effortlessly stylish' countryside hotel with beautiful bedrooms, as well as two restaurants, a private cinema, Little Bothy spa, wine cellar, gardens and Home Farm, centred on sustainability and biodynamic farming principles.
Spratley & Partners completed the dramatic transformation of the 430-acre site in Hampshire into the UK’s most eagerly anticipated, luxury hotel in 2018, after a significant programme of restoration works which began in 2009 for private investment company, Morningside Group.
Later, modern additions to the site, which was being used as a conference centre and wedding venue, were largely unsympathetic and not in-keeping with the original form and layout; the house was extended in the 1980s with a block of bedrooms and conference facilities which were small, basic and required substantial upgrading. The rooms in the listed building had also been subdivided, creating cramped spaces and disrupting the historical plan of the house.
After years of careful restoration and collaboration, this elegant, Grade II listed Georgian house and estate has been brought back to life and sensitively woven into its secluded landscape surroundings.

Simply Home Decorating
This 1990's home, located in North Vancouver's Lynn Valley neighbourhood, had high ceilings and a great open plan layout but the decor was straight out of the 90's complete with sponge painted walls in dark earth tones. The owners, a young professional couple, enlisted our help to take it from dated and dreary to modern and bright. We started by removing details like chair rails and crown mouldings, that did not suit the modern architectural lines of the home. We replaced the heavily worn wood floors with a new high end, light coloured, wood-look laminate that will withstand the wear and tear from their two energetic golden retrievers. Since the main living space is completely open plan it was important that we work with simple consistent finishes for a clean modern look. The all white kitchen features flat doors with minimal hardware and a solid surface marble-look countertop and backsplash. We modernized all of the lighting and updated the bathrooms and master bedroom as well. The only departure from our clean modern scheme is found in the dressing room where the client was looking for a more dressed up feminine feel but we kept a thread of grey consistent even in this more vivid colour scheme. This transformation, featuring the clients' gorgeous original artwork and new custom designed furnishings is admittedly one of our favourite projects to date!

Dining room opens out to patio and pool. The original Mediterranean style colonnade provided a comfortable shaded zone for relaxation. These qualities were recreated with a sense of lightness and modernity.

50sq feet community Café with a clear brief to create a clean, warm and relaxed setting for the whole community to feel welcome and at home. The Café also operates as a private hire space so great storage and flexibility is key.
Slim line tables were used alongside elegant freestanding furniture to allow for accessibility and room to adapt the layout for a wide range of activities and events. Set amongst an open foodcourt and outdoor seating, it was key that there was also a feeling of luxury and warmth and this was achieved with plush velvet banquette seating and high spec lighting fixtures and decorations.
Not forgetting the element of fun with the brands strapline provided in the form of a neon sign.

Ed Sossich at Main Line Kitchen Design
Ed Sossich and Main Line Kitchen Design owner Paul McAlary have worked together at many different showrooms over 20 plus years. Ed refers to the pair as Batman and Robin although who is who is up for debate. Bringing Ed on to check and expedite all of Main Line Kitchen Design’s orders has kept mistakes and delays at our expanding company to a minimum.
Ed, (Batman or Robin), your guess, can be found checking our company’s orders and designing his customer’s kitchens in our new Upper Darby office on City Line Avenue. Ed is quick with a joke although his yellow legal pad is no joking matter for our designers. Ed makes the trains run on time at Main Line Kitchen Design.
