By Design Interiors, Inc.Classic, clean, and elegant, this guest bedroom is the perfect cozy space for guests to kick up their feet. An upholstered headboard is dolled up with custom pillows made from elegant charcoal, champagne, and cream fabrics. A black leather wrapped nightstand and clear column lamp add a masculine touch to the soft space.

UserThe focal point of this traditional guest room is an impressive four post cherry stained bed, which is dressed in a neutral linen coverlet from Restoration Hardware. Complimenting the coverlet is a lushly gathered bed skirt in ivory. Throw pillows embroidered with birds add color while a fur throw pillow adds texture. Matching chests flank the bed and each is topped with a bronze lamp. Above the bed hangs a painting of a market in Italy. Arched doorways, heavily paneled doors and rough-hewn hardwood flooring contribute the room’s Italian Country aesthetic while ivory plaster walls keep the space light and bright.

Christopher D. Marshall Architect, LLCThe client wanted to renovate the 2nd floor/attic to become a private master suite with ample closets, sauna, office space, workout room and master bath.
The challenge was to add those spaces in an organized way that worked within the constraints of the attic space with a sloping ceiling. We added a large arched window in the master bedroom to take advantage of the view and south exposure.
