Ameo ConceptCe 110m2 situé dans le quartier de Belleville n’avait pas été rénové depuis plus de 25 ans. Lors de son achat, la nouvelle propriétaire souhaitait lui donner une ambiance unique, chaleureuse et colorée. Chaque espace arbore donc une couleur singulière et franche, lui donnant une fonction particulière. Une entrée rythmée par une tonalité d’agrume, une alcôve lecture bleu Majorelle invitant à la détente, des pièces à vivre jaune soleil et rouge profond, ponctuées d’un canapé Roche Bobois et d’une banquette sur mesure, invitant toujours à se prélasser confortablement. La suite parentale se pare quant à elle de tonalités plus douces, entre rose poudré et bleu canard, sans lésiner sur la fonctionnalité d’une salle de bain confortable et d’un grand dressing optimisé. Les touches de laiton se succèdent au grès des espaces, fil conducteur entre les couleurs.

LiLu InteriorsBefore purchasing their early 20th-century Prairie-style home, perfect in so many ways for their growing family, the parents asked LiLu whether its imperfections could be remedied. Specifically, they were sad to leave a kid-focused happy home full of color, pattern, texture, and durability thanks to LiLu. Could the new house, with lots of woodwork, be made brighter and lighter? Of course. In the living areas, LiLu selected a high-gloss turquoise paint that reflects light for selected cabinets and the fireplace surround; the color complements original handmade blue-green tile in the home. Graphic floral and abstract prints, and furnishings and accessories in lively shades of pink, were layered throughout to create a bright, playful aesthetic. Elsewhere, staircase spindles were painted turquoise to bring out their arts-and-craft design and heighten the abstract wallpaper and striped runner. Wallpaper featuring 60s-era superheroes, metallic butterflies, cartoon bears, and flamingos enliven other rooms of the house. In the kitchen, an orange island adds zest to cream-colored cabinets and brick backsplash. The family’s new home is now their happy home.

Project designed by Minneapolis interior design studio LiLu Interiors. They serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul area including Wayzata, Edina, and Rochester, and they travel to the far-flung destinations that their upscale clientele own second homes in.

Beth Dotolo, ASID, RID, NCIDQA jewel box townhouse with a high/low approach gave our busy working couple a design-forward space, arousing a new sense of happiness and pride in their home. With a love for entertaining, our clients needed a space that would meet their functional needs and be a reflection of them. They brought on Pulp to create a vision that would functionally articulate their style. Our design team imagined this edgy concept with lots of unique style elements, texture, and contrast. Pulp mixed luxury items, such as the bone-inlay cocktail table and textual black croc wall covering, and offset them with more affordable whimsical touches, like individual framed feathers. Beth and Carolina pushed their tastes to the limit with unexpected touches, like the split face bookends and the teak hand chair, to add a quirky layer and graphic edge that our homeowners would come to fall in love with.

John Bost Custom WoodworkingCustom built-in entertainment center in the same house as the custom built-in window seat project that was posted in 2019. This project is 11-1/2 feet wide x 18 inches deep x 8 feet high. It consists of two 36" wide end base cabinets and a 66" wide center base cabinet with an open component compartment. The base cabinets have soft-close door hinges with 3-way cam adjustments and adjustable shelves. The base cabinet near the doorway includes custom-made ducting to re-route the HVAC air flow from a floor vent out through the toe kick panel. Above the base countertop are side and overhead book/display cases trimmed with crown molding. The TV is mounted on a wall bracket that extends and tilts, and in-wall electrical and HDMI cables connect the TV to power and components via a wall box at the back of the component compartment.
Poësie IntérieurPour cette rénovation complète d’un appartement familial de 84m2 l’agence a opté pour un style éclectique et coloré. On mélange habilement les styles et les époques pour une décoration originale mais intemporelle, composée d’éléments coups de cœur et de pièces maitresses pour certaines chinées, comme ce poêle prussien.
La personnalité des clients s’exprime en chacune des pièces. Les couleurs (pré-dominantes dans ce projet puisque même la cuisine est colorée) et les papiers peints ont été sélectionné avec soin, tout en assurant une cohérence des espaces.
Ce projet fait également la part belle aux matériaux nobles et à la réalisation sur mesure : décor de verre sur mesure dans l’espace bibliothèque, menuiserie et serrurerie, zellige et Terrazzo dans la cuisine et la salle de bain.

DANE AUSTIN INTERIOR DESIGN Boston & CambridgeThis design scheme blends femininity, sophistication, and the bling of Art Deco with earthy, natural accents. An amoeba-shaped rug breaks the linearity in the living room that’s furnished with a lady bug-red sleeper sofa with gold piping and another curvy sofa. These are juxtaposed with chairs that have a modern Danish flavor, and the side tables add an earthy touch. The dining area can be used as a work station as well and features an elliptical-shaped table with gold velvet upholstered chairs and bubble chandeliers. A velvet, aubergine headboard graces the bed in the master bedroom that’s painted in a subtle shade of silver. Abstract murals and vibrant photography complete the look. cityhomeCOLLECTIVEOne of the first decisions that we made was to swap the fireplace surround with Violetta marble, wanting a stone with lots of movement and in a color that compliments the warm tone of the home’s wood details. Because the client loves patterns, we paired a small scale pattern in the living room with a larger scale in the entry. We chose a dark color for the remaining walls to ground these layered patterns and allow our modern and mid-century furniture pieces to pop. Because the ceilings aren’t super high, we chose a feature ceiling light to compensate.
