Sasha MedchillThe space was designed for my son Kix Atticus. We are a soccer family and Kix is OBSESSED with the "ball". I painted the soccer mural background and the triptych canvas paintings. We kept everything low cost with shelving and dresser storage from Ikea. The locker nightstands were purchased through KidKraft. The soccer bed was made by Kix's PawPaw. He loves to show off his "big boy" room!

jb14501Our daughter was "done" with her little girl room ... here's what we came up with to hopefully hold her over until college! The bed was my grandmothers, the bedding is custom, the window coverings are from Target, the desk and bookshelves are from Pier One, and the mural is from Pottery Barn Teen.

Visbeen ArchitectsA bright, octagonal shaped sunroom and wraparound deck off the living room give this home its ageless appeal. A private sitting room off the largest master suite provides a peaceful first-floor retreat. Upstairs are two additional bedroom suites and a private sitting area while the walk-out downstairs houses the home’s casual spaces, including a family room, refreshment/snack bar and two additional bedrooms.

UserThis room is "The Grandkid's Room" for sleep overs and doubles as a play room. We designed the room around the existing yellow walls. Custom, cornice boxes over the windows mimic the pattern on the custom bedding at a larger scale. Adding bolster pillows as well as throw pillows on the bed allow the bed to be used as a lounge area as well.

Jennifer - Rambling RenovatorsThis room had no closets or architectural details. We installed Ikea PAX cabinets on either side of the window and framed them in with drywall to make them look built in. There is a radiator beneath the window which we hid with the window seat.
Babette Bischoff LondonThis kids bedroom was originally shared by both brothers and now converted into the younger boy's bedroom. The young teen boys were fully involved in their room update. The design process was guided by their vision of how they will use it in the future, their favourite color choice and special features like the wall murial and bean bag.

Residential Interiors The theme chosen for the open space was “Jungle Gym” - intended to provide a fanciful play area for the children where they could be as boisterous as desired. New maple laminate flooring, new ceiling with boxed in mechanical and recessed lighting, and new drywall walls addressed the shell.
