Tucker HomesOne of the best pieces from this manor restoration. The doorway and stairwell were covered by the previous owners and not in current drawings when we began work, so were discovered by our carpenters as we worked through the basement.
The shelving in this cellar was made from wood we salvaged from the old floor joists pulled out of areas needing repair. The door also made from salvaged wood within the house, and features a centrepiece with the home's original owner's name scratched into the wood.
The wine rack was actually made from new pine by one of our carpenters and was cut and stained to match the reclaimed wood.
Blue Grouse Wine CellarsThis custom wine cellar consisted of roasted/oiled walnut millwork to house wine bottles, wood cases, stemware and even the cooling system.
Metal wall-mounted Vintage View wine racks were installed at the sides of he room for design interest and additional storage capacity. Individually-lit niches in the rock wall provided a beautiful design feature, easily visible through the frameless glass front wall.
All lighting used within the cooled wine cellar environment was LED so that no heat was emitted.

Distinctive Remodeling, LLCOur homeowner wanted a hidden entrance to his personal wine cellar for a few reasons: He wanted something that was different than would usually see, he wanted to have his entire collection at home, rather than in a storage facility, and he thought it was a cool idea.
Wine EnthusiastThis is a new space in the client's home with the Vintage View racking system. The cellar holds around 1,300 bottles along with space for 20 magnum-sized bottles. The entire space is cooled by a WhisperKool which is mounted in the ceiling.
