Rammed Earth Hinterland Home
Amazing home with superior thermal qualities cleverly designed to maximise the magnificent sweeping views towards the Byron Bay coastline. Primarily built with rammed earth, all external windows and doors were manufactured by Teal Timber Windows and Doors. Kwila/Merbau was the chosen timber species for this project as it was in a BAL29 bushfire are requiring a dense, heavier wood.
This sustainable design features timber stacking sliding doors and large single panel sliding doors. Louvre highlight windows and tall banks of louvre galleries with glass blades further assist in controlling airflow throughout this energy efficient home.
