JWB | Home RemodelingAfter removing a very old above ground pool we designed and installed this Tri Level garden with stone staircase and lower patio with gas fir pit, waterfall and 3 ponds. Landscape Lighting at night created a warm feeling in this Colorado backyard setting.
Main Design Challenges:
1. Accommodating for large water run off under lower patio area with 24" of drainage stone.
2. Erosion control of a 22 vertical feet. Installing 84 Stone of large boulders that locking with drainage behind allowed water to move freely and holds back moving soils.

DDLA Design Landscape ArchitectureCompleted in 2009, this dramatic residential garden and outdoor living space is set atop a hilltop overlooking the Calgary skyline. For this project we designed custom features such as craftsman inspired design material and elements including stone walkways, a custom fireplace with a water feature, built-in seating, fire pit, circular arbor, lawn, gardens, children's play area all with spectacular views. The owners were extremely pleased and enjoy the ability to entertain family and friends outdoors in multiple locations within the garden.
Laughing Waters, IncThe idea of this project was to create a special environment that stimulates all senses in the human body, an environment that is vibrant and most importantly interactive for all ages. We began by searching for the right materials to create a specific feeling of time and space.
Placement of the water feature was designed by studying how the customer used their home. The waterfalls and streams connect separate outdoor spaces and accommodate for all views outdoors and indoors. A sense of mystery is designed into every detail in this water feature. The layout of the ponds play accordingly with the sun for excellent reflections, and each rock formation has time designed into it.
The environment is inviting, and interactive. Each person that walks out to explore the environment has his or her curiosity rewarded by discovering plant life, trickling streams, and several waterfalls only to be discovered by the inquisitive explorer.

This simple, yet clean and well designed mailbox is now ready to welcome in guests. We reused the wooden posts, and painted it black. We love the contemporary take on this rustic, woodsy design. Now this mailbox stands out, instead of disappearing into the trees.
StoneworxThe color selection of the material was the key to tie this project together with the home. The seating area (right) came to fruition during the first fall season when the bench and decorations were incorporated with the seasonal color change.

Hampstead Garden DesignOur client in Hampstead Garden Suburb, north London, commissioned us to design a garden which creates spaces for entertaining, combined with plenty of space for play. The design and materials used for the garden complement the architecture of the house, situated in a beautiful conservation area, whilst also meeting the needs of a modern family. The planting scheme is designed to be pretty, whilst also including evergreen structure to create interest throughout the year.

Swenson Granite WorksJen Migonis and her family installed a Swenson Granite Works Woodbury Gray granite fire pit. The installation only took about 15-20 minutes to set up and then Jen says it took about three times as long to make the rest of the area look fabulous with a zillion pumpkins, pillows and blankets. The kids were so excited to roast marshmallows.
There are 16 blocks per tier, and each block weighs roughly 50 lbs. The fire pit is available as 1-tier, 2-tier or 3-tier.
