Three Ponds Guest House
The humble allure of a century-old tenant house, tucked into overgrown woods, attracted the owners to create this guest house. It began with no view to the ponds, structural integrity in question, leaking roofs and peeling paint. Careful to preserve the original structure, and draw on new views to the ponds, the cramped rooms were enlarged and a first floor bedroom and porch were added to create a three-bedroom, three-bath special retreat, conducive to hosting guests for long periods. Because it does not have tall ceilings or intricate moldings, just very simple elegance, the house is warm, intimate and unassuming.
