Transitional Kitchen Remodel Done in a Polar White Shaker Door
This kitchen was built in 1986 and was the standard oak plywood traditional style. The layout did not afford much space for moving things around, so a doorway was moved, and a few things shifted to allow us to expand the layout and make this kitchen much more functional. We were able to move the pantry location to the opposite side of the room and then slide the range and hood down the wall to get it out of the corner and center it on the wall to allow for more counter space. We then installed all new cabinets done in a shaker door in a polar white color. Pulling the cabinets away from the sink window and accenting the window with tile opened up and brightened that area as well as the whole kitchen. New angled power strips were installed to eliminate the wall outlets and create a beautiful uninterrupted backsplash that was illuminated by Task LED lighting. The backsplash was done in a sea glass mosaic. New Cambria quartz tops and a few functional accessories highlight this new space. Now these homeowners have the kitchen of their dreams.
