“My wife and I bought a home on a beautiful lake just a short distance from our offices, removed the existing home, and needed an incredible design for this unique property. We decided to retain Darrell and Liz based on some of their previous work, as well as both of them were LEED certified (an organization and green building standard I helped start in the early ‘90’s). They quickly caught our vision and desires, and made many improvements by blending in their own expertise and experience. At each iteration of the design we became more and more excited about our future home and how it seamlessly integrated into the property promising wonderful views and an incredible indoor/outdoor living experience. Sadly our plans changed and we sold the property, but have purchased 10 acres in Washington state with an even more incredible view, and will be incorporating many of the design features into our retirement home. Darrell and Liz are highly recommended if you’re wanting to do something outside the ordinary, and want architects who are easy to work with.”

Last, Traci has an exceptional command of the most up-to-date technology in her profession. This enables her to make changes with lightning speed (in comparison to the surprisingly archaic methods of many local architects) -- this will save you not only time but money.”

“Calico Studio was like working with old friends (they provided full design and construction document services for a ground up custom home)! I had the real potential of being a "client-zilla" with an architectural degree of my own, a bit of an analytical nature, active in commercial RE & construction all of my career, and worst of all, no true idea of what I wanted besides the spaces and a rough floor plan sketch. Just coming out of nearly 30 yrs where my ex defined and chose our style, I only had a swirl of thoughts (a big Houzz ideabook), and a jumble of images in my head.
