iD Upholstery combines the joint talent of a third generation upholsterer, Mark, with an experienced designer, Jo. Mark grew up surrounded by upholstery tools and fabric and was helping his dad from the age of 13. He was taught the traditional craft of upholstery and by the age of 16 was fully qualified. He has the ability to work on antiques and restore pieces using traditional materials but he also loves to use those traditional skills on modern pieces which results in beautiful craftsmanship. Jo’s favourite subject at school was Art and she went on to study Art & Design which led to a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. After working on some top brands and winning some industry awards, she then decided to turn her skills into more colour and fabric led work. Jo then worked for John Lewis assisting clients to select the right style of furniture and fabrics to complement their home. Mark and Jo both have years of experience and with their combined talents they create bespoke and unique furniture suited perfectly to their client's taste and requirements. They have worked in both domestic and commercial environments in the UK and have also shipped their furniture designs abroad. iD Upholstery is a small family run business. Jo and Mark pride themselves on being open, friendly and approachable. They offer a very personal service and have great attention to detail and as a result, they have a list of delighted customers who happily recommend them to friends and family.

The finishing can make or break a bespoke creation and should not be considered as an after-thought merely to protect the wood. Just as a Chef creates his dishes with skill from raw ingredients, rather than heating up a “ready meal”, so a Modern Polisher creates beautiful, durable, textured and interesting tones and sheens, rather than applying something that does what it says on a tin.

Reupholstery and repair service in local area near Fleet. I am a sole trader and have been working as an upholster for more than 30 years. I have been running my own business from the same address since the beginning of 1993. In my training I achieved a distinction in City & Guilds in traditional upholstery at The London College of Furniture and then attained a distinction in the same subject for the Advanced City & Guilds qualification at High Wycombe College . Throughout my career I have striven for the highest possible standards in workmanship and aim to provide a very personable friendly and professional service. I have a high rate of repeat business with my customers. I have reupholstered the same three-piece suite for some of my very first customers as many as three times over the years.
