Love the colour palette - what colour are the walls?

We're planning an internal renovation and included in that is painting. I love the shade used on the walls here - it's light enough, but still contrasts well with the ceiling, skirting and moulding. Would love to know more about the colour chosen here if you're able to share?

Hello, yes the colours work really well together. We used the following colours:

Walls: Dulux Lyttelton 1/4 strength (NZ2A1)

Skirting/Architraves: Dulux Lexicon 1/2 strength (PN2A1) Semi Gloss

Hi, I would suggest white for the bookshelve to keep it as neutral as possible for colorfull books. But I don't see a need to go with the same color for the sideboard. this can be doone in either grey or any darker color you like. Could be a nice eyecatcher. Christiane

Hi Ella, first of all, let me say that you have some really nice vintage pieces in your home! If you are planning to keep the light grey rug I would go with a darker shade of grey for the daybed and a lighter shade or a completely different color for the fabric of the sidechair (e.g. like the dark blue in your third photo) in order to create more contrast and give the room a more dynamic feel. You also mentioned a portrait to be hung above the sideboard - maybe the colors of this picture can aslo inspire the fabrics, it's always nice if the same color pops up in different details of a room. Hey, i will go for black and white furniture. In every room, i will choose different colors for decoration (vases, paintings, pillows etc. ). For example livingroom with purple decoration, bedroom with turquoise decoration etc. I love special items such as mosaic tables ( for example https://www.lionshome.at/moebel-gartentische/mosaik/ ) in homes. In Asien countries one often finds furniture with a lot of chrachter in homes. I think they build the depth of a home. Furthermore, plants are amazing! I think they will bring a lot of positivity in your home.

Kitchen/dining room wall

Hello! I would definitely recommend to take out the wall. Your room will feel so much more spacious and bright because you'll also get the light from the window when you sit at the dining table. Kitchen island is a perfect idea – it creates a lot of extra storage and is ideal for a communicative kitchen/dining situation (no divider between kitchen and dining area). With various shelves and built-in cabinets you can create even more storage room. Living in a space before making any changes is a wise decision – as long as it comes to furniture. When it's about taking out a wall you'll probably never do that later on ;) Happy to discuss if you need more inspiration / ideas – Just book a time that suits you. Cheers Anna
