Platinum Landscape & PoolsThis close up reveals all the different materials that were integrated into this contemporary design. Rock on the fireplace matches the rock on the house, CorTen steel planters match planters throughout landscape, Cedar Tongue and Groove wood matches the wood on the porch ceilings and the blue tile of the water feature adds the needed POP!
Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignA new stairway with Sonoma fieldstone walls and bluestone steps provide access from the side of the residence down to the hot tub. A variety of shade/part shade plants brighten this part of the landscape. They include dwarf Plumbago, Polygala Petite Butterflies, Dianella tasmanica variegata and Daphne odor marginata. And now with site-appropriate plants and no lawn, a lower water bill for the homewoners. Full color Blue stone and small mexican pebbles replace the lawn and pathways while offering a contemporary transformation. Kimberly Mercurio Landscape ArchitectureAuroralight inground well lighting illuminates the privet hedges surrounding the pool and are a visual focal point in the evening. The table and chairs are reclaimed lumber and contrasts nicely with the mid-century modern outdoor chairs. The patio is dry laid bluestone pavers with creeping thyme joints. The interior walls of this two story pool house are painted white pine.

Smalls LandscapingSmaller streams alongside the waterfall were incorporated to flow as offshoots to the main falls. Landscaping plantings were strategically placed to cover pumps used in the running of the waterfalls. We also designed and built our own intake stand for the pump screen to keep them off the pond bottom. This prevented debris from entering the falls and streams.
