Carmen JiménezEn esta ocasión, los propietarios partían de una vivienda heredada, con un mobiliario muy antiguo y una decoración prácticamente inexistente.
Necesitaban conseguir ponerlo en alquiler con una inversión económica mínima y un plazo inferior a 1 mes.
Este fue el resultado en el dormitorio infantil de la vivienda. La intervención consistió, al igual que en el otro dormitorio, en la creación de un cabecero de cama lineal y protagonista con pintura de pared y la introducción de textiles y detalles de decoración e iluminación. Previamente a esto, se procedió a la eliminación de cortinas y elementos que oscurecían y empequeñecían el espacio y se pintaron las paredes y el techo de la estancia de unos colores neutros y relajantes que potenciasen la luz proveniente de dos huecos de ventana ubicados en un patio de luces y ventilación del bloque.
No se hicieron cambios ni de pavimento ni de mobiliario de gran volumen por ajuste del presupuesto.

de Navacerrada, Madrid, de 25m2 de superficie.
El espacio de la vivienda se despeja por entero excepto por un pequeño
núcleo de aseo, insertando luego únicamente dos cajas de madera de
pino oregón que recogen y definen los usos de estar y dormir. La caja
de estar modifica su geometría para enmarcar el paisaje de la montaña
tras la gran ventana; la de dormir recoge una cama doble y otra
sencilla superpuesta, y puede cerrarse como una tienda de campaña
cuando aún no se ha calentado la vivienda. El suelo de linóleo negro
resalta la presencia de las cajas en el espacio vacío, y una mesa
abatible contra la caja de dormir define el comedor en el espacio entre
ambas.
Una larga cortina oculta una banda longitudinal dedicada a cocina y
almacenamiento.

My youngest client ever! I met this 4 year old's parents when they had me over to take a look at their on going living room project. After working on a couple of spaces in their West Loop building, they had come to know me and my work. We started, instead, with the daughters room. It was a total blank slate. They parents wanted something girly, but not pink, youthful but not toddler, and vintage but not traditional. I understood exactly what this room needed.
