TKP ArchitectsThis award-winning and intimate cottage was rebuilt on the site of a deteriorating outbuilding. Doubling as a custom jewelry studio and guest retreat, the cottage’s timeless design was inspired by old National Parks rough-stone shelters that the owners had fallen in love with. A single living space boasts custom built-ins for jewelry work, a Murphy bed for overnight guests, and a stone fireplace for warmth and relaxation. A cozy loft nestles behind rustic timber trusses above. Expansive sliding glass doors open to an outdoor living terrace overlooking a serene wooded meadow.

Sarah Montgomery InteriorsThis industrial condo in Roger's Park got a complete overhaul. The layout remained while all finishes, flooring and furniture were upgraded. The tall ceilings and large windows are the focal point of the space and so we kept it light and bright, while mixing textures and finishes to create interest. The client's own eclectic art and object collections pair perfectly with the pops of color in the furniture and accessories. The hand glazed kitchen backsplash tile is the perfect contrast to the white, wood and stainless steel and nods to the changing colors of the lake view across.

Front Railing: Removing the 1970’s railing and going back to the original style.
Handrail: Restored to its formal glory.
Paving: Replacing the 1970’s ‘crazy paving’ with 150 year old York stone to match the rest of the street.
Front door: Removal of the non-original door and replacing it with a Victorian-style 4-panel door adorned with door knocker, central knob and letter plate.
Lighting: We fitted a solid brass Victorian lamp (replica) and period-style light bulb to give a Victorian-look as well as match the street lighting.
Windows: UPVc windows are replaced with slimlite double glazing using a special distorted glass to match the original look and charm. This gives the look of single glazing but still functions as double glazing.
Decoration: Overall we tidied up the cables, repainted the front courtyard and renovated the window sills.

Jason SilliWe really wanted a wow factor as you first walked into the house. We achieved this by wallpapering each wall in the entrance in a bold geometric wallpaper by Cole & Son, in greay and white. A contemporary look with a nod to the oriental and exotic. An oversized placed over the console added extra depth to the space and made the small foyer seem larger. As a feature light we opted for a more contemporary look and installed a white Monkey Ball pendent to add an element of playfulness.

Carpet tile area rug is beautiful and practical. Coat hooks, baskets, and a storage bench add storage where no closet exists.
Triple Dot Design StudioThis black entry contrasts with the rest of the space, being white and bright. Painting the door and walls black in this entry grounds the space and creates a warm and inviting touchdown when you enter the home.
