“I have worked with Big County Builders on a couple projects and trust not only the integrity of how the business is run, but also the innovative thought that goes into the project. Josh not only worries about execution, but also thinks about design, logistics, cosmetic and aesthetics. This is important to me. I don't always have the know how, but have the idea of what I want and Josh always seems to find a way to fit the design of what I am thinking. He asks the right questions and talks about the important things. He does great work and would always recommend him!”

“Matt and Jeremiah jjust finished work on a major kitchen remodel. We were blown away at not only the speed at which work was completed but also the attention to detail. The few deadlines we had were always met. The photos speak for themselves but what is missing from them are the people behind that work that were an absolute pleasure to have in our home. 10/10 will have them at the top of our list for any further remodeling”

Their teams were professional, the work was impeccable, and everything was completed on time and within the estimated budgets. The detail work they did on some of the railings and trim was ingenious. “Bob Vail is a master Craftsman and his crew is just as exacting and demanding as he is. Our project involved pushing out our kitchen foundation 6ft and rearranging the rooms on the first floor to meet an expanded and updated kitchen. Walls were torn down and new walls were put in place, new windows and doors and a new outside deck also were part of a project that included an entire renovation of a tired old kitchen. Bob consulted and worked with us alongside an architect, kitchen expert and electrician in order to help us select exactly what we wanted, at times he would advocate for us when we met with some unprofessional incidents. Most importantly, Bob was able to flex with some changing demands during the project while still maintaining the integrity of the original plan. Superior finish carpentry highlights surround the new project and bring continued enjoyment as we use our new kitchen and entertain more often than ever before.”

“I highly recommend Greater Portland Renovations. Originally, they did a rot repair job for us. Moisture got in under or front door and caused rot. They arrived to do the work on the scheduled day at the time promised. Even though the rot spread a bit further than expected, the cost remained within the estimated range. I was so impressed with the integrity of the company and kindness of the workers, that I also decided to hire them to install new hardwood floors in our home. As they were doing the job, they came across more rot under the back door, which we had no idea about. They took everything in stride. They repaired the issue right away, and charged us a reasonable amount to repair it. Our old floors were both glued and nailed down with a nail about every half inch of flooring. This was by means no easy job. They still managed to finish the job quickly, as they knew we were trying to sell our home. The floors were installed perfectly, and look amazing. I would recommend Greater Portland Renovations to ANYONE!!!”

“From start to finish a great experience with a terrific result. Seth and his crew impressed us daily with their responsiveness, efficiency, and excellent work. In an old house there are always challenges, what you might expect and what you don’t, and every solution they came up with made the overall project even better. It was a lot to manage, especially during a year with shortages of building materials and subcontractors booked out for months. Yet SGK made everything come together. This is a talented and professional group, not to mention a pleasure to have around. Their respect for us, our home, and our wishes would assure them as our first choice for another job.”
