“My husband and I have lived in our home for almost 30 years and apart from a few updates in the past, we knew our home needed some freshening up. We called Karen Vander Werp of Transforming Interiors and with her amazing vision and incredible eye for detail, our dining/living room has been completely redone and we are so thrilled with the results! She was able to work with a few pieces of furniture that we wanted to keep and incorporated them into an updated an amazing look. From painting our tire woodwork, painting our oak table, modernizing our 3-way fireplace with faux painting and adding a new seating area with beautiful window treatments, the dining room was completely transformed. It was the same with the living room a year later. She was able to see options that we wouldn't have noticed or thought of. From artwork to furniture to accessories to window treatments, she was "spot on" every time. What we also appreciated was the way she listened to us and what our likes and dislikes were and would fins ways to ensure her vision, along with keeping our wants and needs. Plus she made it fun and interesting. We learned so much from her guidance. “Bridget has worked with me on two different homes. She helped me update my starter home cost effectively with small changes. She taught me how to accessorize with color and pick solid colored furniture that could be kept up to date with inexpensive pillow or art changes. When it was time to sell my home, it sold at the first showing. I give that credit to her due to her ability to make my small home look bigger and provide function necessary with small children. Not to mention that the main living space looked like it came from a magazine. My new home was a blank slate. She assisted me in picking colors, furniture, accessories and fabrics. She offered her ideas and assisted me in gaining confidence in my choices. She shopped for me-finding me the right pieces for small spaces that needed accessories, including rugs that made a big impact picking up all the colors throughout my home. She showed me how to take the colors in the fabrics and use them throughout the rooms in my house so that it all flowed. Everyone who comes to my home makes comments about my colors and how it looks so beautiful even 7 years later. I feel like my home fits my personality and is a place I Iike spending my time. “Michelle came to my house to help me organize my out of control linen closet. It was truly overflowing, and she never once made me feel bad about having so much stuff. She explained how we were going to tackle the project and we got to it! During the organizing process, we went through each item, deciding if I needed it or not. She never acted annoyed if I kept something stupid or pressured me to get rid of anything. She found a place for everything I kept and it’s all amazingly organized in its own space. After having her help me with that small area, I went on to do a few other areas of my house myself. She was a blessing to me when I didn’t know I needed it.”

“I originally met Tiffany when she worked as a designer with a local furniture company. We were downsizing to a condo and wanted to start again with furniture and decor. She made the transition easier. I was very happy with the working relationship we had and have used her expertise on numerous projects since the initial one. I value her professional advice. She is my go to when my brain is clogged with details and I do not want to make any more decisions.... which seems to happen more as I get older. She helped me choose a color scheme for our whole condo as well as furniture placement and some of the extra decorating items. A good designer takes all the brain clogging details we store. She/he sorts them into "keep", "donate" and "dump". All I have to do is concentrate on the "keep" pile. It is very liberating and cheaper than a therapist. I am willing to add photos, but would seek her permission first, as I do not always do exactly what a designer would do, and she may not want certain choices displayed as having her stamp of approval. She charges by the hour or by the project.”
