“WOW, is all I can say about both my experience with John at Home Design as will as the end product. John and I had a few conversations about what I was looking for and he just nailed it. The time period he did it within was absolutely remarkable. We got all new cabinets and granite, form ordering to installation within 7 days!!! How does that happen. Oh and by the way, his installers so friendly and accommodating. They worked until the job was done. None of this 8am - 3pm and "we'll be back tomorrow" nonsense. My husband and I had purchased a 20 year old home that was in need of an update, and our architect, Cathy Purple Cherry, recommended Joni to design our kitchen. We are so thrilled that we followed her recommendation. At the first meeting, Joni wanted to learn who we were and how we would live in the space. Throughout the process, Joni considered functionality, style, and budget, and she listened to us closely. I am no decorator. I know what I like when I see it, but getting there can be a challenge for me. Joni knew exactly how to guide me when I was stumped. The first project was beautifully executed, and seemed magically to double my closet space due to the ingenious understanding of space. The second project resulted in a frame with an elegant arch which is now the most striking feature of my living room. They are wonderful ... as well as under budget. The more recent work is pictured below in my amateur photo of the arch work; also see the "before" photo of what became the master closet they feature here. I have also given a joint seminar with their staff, in which Trish, one of their talented designers, took persons on a tour of the displays, discussing trends in Kitchen and Bath design, and then the attendees came to my seminar on color trends. Julie is another one of the designers with whom I have worked. But they are all terrific. I learn something more every time I am there. Their showroom is located in Merrifield, on Merrilee Drive, one block west of Gallows and Rte. 29, very near the Merrifield Home Depot. I would not hesitate to refer someone to Kleppinger.”
