“Lila is amazing! She was able to understand our requirements and taste very quickly. She truly owned our project and drove it like a champ. At the same time, she was a team player and took all our feedback and wish lists. She was passionate and went beyond her scope to deliver. “Jennifer McLinko of Mise En Place was hired by myself and my husband to help us create our dream kitchen and bathroom. After several attempts by myself to create a functional design, we decided we needed help; a lot of help. Jennifer was able to take the vision that was stuck in my head and bring it to fruition. There was a lot involved in our remodel. Our house was built in 1930, so structural and plumbing issues came up. Jennifer was able to configure the design to overcome these issues and kept the design true to what we wanted the final product to look like. She was able to incorporate the functionality I needed with the design I wanted in both rooms. We are very pleased with our new kitchen and bathroom. And all of our friends that saw both the original kitchen and bathroom as well as the new and greatly improved kitchen and bathroom are amazed at the transformation. We couldn't have done it without her creativity and design skills. We highly recommend Jennifer and Mise en Place Design for anyone's remodeling needs.”

“Kristine was very helpful in helping me design my new kitchen. She was very thorough and listened closely to my needs. She was very knowledgeable in the different styles of cabinets. She met me at the tile store and was creative in helping me choose a custom backsplash tile. She was always working for me and finding the best product at the best price. She designed my sister Kathy's beach house - new bathroom and kitchen. My sister recommended Kristine and I found her help to be very valuable. Kathy was very pleased with Kristine's work.”

“Jan designed a kitchen for our 1930's brick Tudor home. She is undaunted by the awkward spaces, and other eccentricities of an older home. She views the kitchen not as a separate entity but how it relates to the whole house in style and feel. She stays with the client through the whole project. Jan has a very strong sense of design. If the client is unsure about making a decision, they can trust Jan to help them make the right choice. All of her kitchens are different. Anyone who hires her will not have a kitchen that looks like anyone else's..”

“After much searching and disappointment trying to find an interior designer, we found Brian and believe we hit gold. We hired Brian to redesign our existing kitchen and master bath. Neither of us had ever remodelled a house. We had an idea of how we wanted the areas to feel but didn't know how to make it happen. Brian asked the right questions about our family to come up with a number of different options on how we can make the best use of our spaces. He really thought of everything when it came to functionality especially for the kitchen; for us, our kitchen really is the heart of the home and not just somewhere to eat. We believe the final product that was provided will help make the remodelling process as economical and smooth as possible. Brian was easily accessible during his design process and afterward asking us the status of our project.”

She walked me through the process of choosing cabinets, designing and following through to completion. Anna was available through phone and text and I always felt heard and comfortable with the process. She, also, worked flawlessly with our contractor and designer.”

“We hired Jennifer to help us select furniture, drapes, and accessories for the main living area, kitchen, den, and dining room in our new home. She did an incredible job coming up with ideas -- including many things we would have never thought of ourselves. She's very well organized, taking complete measurements and lots of photos of the existing space, and coming back to us with a wide range of suggestions for fabrics, colors, furniture pieces, artwork, and accessories. She took care of all of the details of purchasing, delivering, and setting up the new pieces when they arrived. She's also great at listening to her clients, never imposing her own preferences over ours, and good about taking feedback to tune the direction of the project. We're very happy with our newly decorated home and hope to work with Jennifer on the other areas of our house.”
