“My wife and I had Ann Arbor Hardwoods refinish the floors in our home, and we simply cannot explain in words how amazing they are (but I'll try). We combined a full-house floor refinish (sand, stain, clear) with a kitchen remodel, and Michael was great about working with us on timing, which was important because after the floors were done, there was still some more work to do in the kitchen. He also did a good job sitting down with us and explaining the process, the materials they use (and why/how they differ from what many other hardwood refinishing companies use), and the timing (how long the project would take, when we can start moving furniture, when we can put down rugs, etc...). We also had some new hardwood installed in the kitchen to go with the rest of the hardwood in the house (from the 1950's). Michael was really helpful, and even took time out of his day to come measure the moisture levels in the new hardwood before they got installed (installed by our kitchen contractor). Both Michael and our kitchen contractor explained that due to different sourcing of lumber between 1955 and now, the new floor may not 100% match the old floors, even after a full refinish. We agreed that it would be OK, and Michael said they would do their best. Long story short, AAH did a PHENOMENAL job, and the floors do match very, very well! We cannot tell at all where the new floor was blended in to the old one. The rest of the AAH team were great, very nice and helpful, and we never had an issue with them at all. I would 100% recommend Ann Arbor Hardwoods to anyone looking to refinish their floors.”
