“My home was built in 1869 and I wanted a new floor for my living room, that would be fitting of the period of the house. Bluford Jackson came highly recommended by a friend who works on many high end restorations. Since the original floors were pine, this was the wood of choice, because of it's ability to take on character marks. To give an updated feel, the floor was stained black and given a satin finish. The project was completed on time and after 8 years the floor has taken on a lot of character, ie dents, scratches (active Springer Spaniel), etc., but the color and finish have held up. It is easy to maintain (damp mop) and receives compliments from all visitors, as to the beauty and of my "old" floor. In the future I plan to do more "new/old" floors in other rooms in the house.”
