The craftsmanship was outstanding.
Building a house is a long sometimes challenging process and overall it went well. We had some up and down but that is totally expected for such a huge endeavor: asking a stranger to materialize the most expensive vision you ever had in your life... In the end it all worked out. He came back to fix a few things (which is normal) and we never had to pay or argue about it, he took care of it, no question, and that is special!
I would totally work with him and his team again if we ever build another house. I would have no problem recommending him to my best friend or family. Great experience, great house, love living in it!”

“Ian had been the main contractor for renovation of our kitchen and two bathrooms over the span of 8 years, and we had so much respect for his attention to detail and professional demeanor as well as that of his staff, that we decided to have Hurst Construction handle the renovation of our present deck and front porch. Because there were structural issues with the original deck which was built in 1984, and brickwork that was needed to install new windows/doors, the project took more time than anticipated. The present home-owners association required clearance for the plans from the architectural committee and this delayed the project as well. Overall, however, the new deck is beautiful, and structurally more sound, the windows are more earth friendly which saves energy, and the new deck and porch more closely connect to the building structure originally built. Ian's construction workers were courteous, approachable, and consistently efficient in their work. We would recommend Hurst Construction for any home renovation, and feel that the result of several months of hard work really paid off.”
