“Greg was recommended to us by 4 or 5 people. Best decision we've made so far is hiring him as our contractor. Here's why: 1. He's a builder's builder: Very talented and creative, has a lot of excellent ideas. He's not your standard contractor that just "reads the plans" - he's met multiple times with our architect to go over the details and to offer some really great suggestions. Very impressed with the level of collaboration! 2. He's very conscious of your budget: I've had a lot of ideas for the house. Like most people, we have a budget for this build. Greg has kept me in line whenever I come up with another of my "brilliant" (as in, costly) ideas. What I truly appreciate is that each and every time, he's offered some really great alternative so that I get the look I was going for without breaking the bank. 3. He does quality work: I've seen homes he's completed and they're fantastic. 4. He's a good guy: Even his subcontractors rave about him. We stop by the lot on a regular basis to take pictures of the progress. Most of the time, the subcontractors are there working. Without fail, when we talk to them we hear about how nice a guy Greg is and how much they like working for him. Might be a big part of why his homes turn out so well. Happy employees do great work. 5. He's easy to get in touch with and is very responsive. Not the kind of contractor that disappears on you! Highly, highly recommend.”

“If you're looking for someone trustworthy, hard working and honest - these are the people!!!! They're technicians communicated with me during the entire project, whether to tell me they were on the way or getting ready to leave for the day to the progress they made through-out the day I mean these guys really know their stuff. I am a homeowner and LOVE DIY projects, but I just do not have the time to get them done so hesitantly I didn't know if my projects would be too small for them to complete anyway - they had no problem helping me with my "Pinterest projects" and we ended up doing bigger projects (remodeling my outdated bathroom and some other updating in my kitchen) due to the success we had with just my maintenance and repairs I needed done. I didn't realize how financially reasonable these prices would be, Ive heard of my friends spending so much more than I did and they did a fantastic job. I will definitely be a returning customer!”

“Tom and MaryAnn were our general contractors. I had the floor plan design already and had it drawn by their architect to the standards needed for Rose Hill Plantation. Tom was very specific on his line item bids/budgets set for our project so it was easy to track when change orders occurred. The construction draws and construction timeline was understandable and easy to follow. We lived 3.5 hours away so it is important to work closely with a general contractor and they need to understand what it is your are trying to accomplish when building a custom designed home. Tom and MaryAnn were available when we called and spent time with us at their preferred shops (cabinets, flooring, plumbing, electrical, etc.) introducing us to the people we would be working with and gently guiding us through the process. What drew us to Tom initially was the finish trim work he uses. Most general contractors skimp on this part of the home, but Tom "standard" finish was far and above most others. In a custom designed/built home, there are the unknowns and unseen problems that arise, it is how these issues are handled and resolved that count. We worked together to get them solved. Would recommend Tom Peeples Builder to anyone looking to build in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. Nice folks and great work.”

From 2500 miles away we took a big chance on what would happen and how Scotty Snipes would handle this major renovation. We were not disappointed! From the quality of the work, to the communication with us in California, to the helpful advice at every step of the way, we found everything handled professionally and competently. “Brian from Bill Grotheer Inc was our GC. We interviewed five GCs before choosing someone for our project. Sometimes people think a renovation is going to be like something from HGTV. It is not! While projects can be even more beautiful than TV or magazines, the truth is it takes experience, time, energy, creativity, contractor licenses, talent, integrity, a supportive team of employees, plumbers, electricians, painters, floor specialists, demo crew, and workman to make the job wonderful. When we interviewed potential GCs, we found some would low ball the bid to try to get our acceptance. We were very careful, realistic and practical about what a renovation would cost. Brian was forthcoming about every piece of our project. He was open about his costs and itemized every detail for us. Brian gave perceptive suggestions and was available if we had a concern. Brian was there every day to check on the project and give his team instructions. He was a partner in our project. A GC should be someone you will feel comfortable in your home. Brian maintained a sense of polite professionalism, integrity, positivity and a sense of humor. We are so thankful to have found him and his team Bill Grotheer Inc.”

“After shopping around for weeks for contractors, I am proud to have finally found these guys. They were very patient with me and very informative. they worked around our schedule. I had my home renovated, in December and hired HP Contracting Group in October. Within those 2 months I gave Allen and Jake ideas of what I wanted for my home, they came up with a game plan and multiple options for me to chose from and they nailed it! I had no trouble during the renovation they made sure I got every little thing I needed with no issues. They had full access to my home at all times even when I couldn't be there. I put a lot of trust into them while being in my home and they were very respectful and trustworthy the entire time. They showed up on time every time and were very professional they got the job done earlier than expected and it turned out perfect just in time for the holiday's for my family to visit. I highly recommend these guys for whatever project you have. They are coming back in March to put a new roof on for me, and will be the only contractors I will use in the future.”
