Jim Elliot, the owner, suggested a better placement for the bathroom which resulted in a much better bathroom and came in on budget. Additionally, their estimate was the best we received. They were all a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond in everything they did. For additional house projects I will absolutely consult them first.”

“I love houses, and have renovated several (including two registered historic homes) over the years. Thus I consider myself extremely picky and exacting when it comes to contractors. I appreciate the old-fashioned way of doing things, which is increasingly hard to find. Before I met Dustin Shaw, I had two previous favorite contractors in another state, and a few really horrible experiences. All this being said, Dustin is the rare find in this day and age -- he is young and yet "old-school" in every regard. He is the third generation of builders in his family and grew up learning the trade, and it shows. His work ethic is the highest, and he sets the highest possible bar for the quality of work that he (and any subcontractors he hires) delivers. I hired Dustin to renovate my favorite home of all, my childhood home, and he exhibited such care and understanding throughout. I wasn't in town during the project, but I had complete peace of mind that all would be done as it should be. Dustin's workmanship is beautiful, and as importantly, he has the highest degree of integrity. Since that project I have hired him to renovate several of my family's rental properties, and have recommended him to anyone I meet who is looking to build new construction or renovate. “We selected house plans and purchased raw land years before we were ready to start building. I researched A LOT and knew to expect stress and surprises when building a custom home. Once we were ready, we met with a few of the the big builders around here but I wasn’t impressed with the quality for the price. Taormina Homes was referred to us and when I walked through a home they were constructing, I knew instantly it was what we were looking for. I really enjoyed the construction process and being able to work with the entire Taormina family. They kept us up-to-date, often daily, and there weren’t surprises or variables that completely caught us off guard. Nick was patient with me constantly changing up my tile and lighting selections but also gave sound advice on many things throughout our build. I really loved being able to have a say on all the design choices and our home turned out so much better than I ever dreamed. My father is a custom builder in another state and when he visited halfway through our construction, he commented on the great craftsmanship and cleanliness of our job site which are two of the highest forms of compliment in the industry. A lender told us years ago, building a custom home is not for the faint of heart. Knowing that, the most important part for us was finding a builder we could trust, and who would help us get the best quality and design for our budget and Taormina Homes was exactly that: ethical, knowledgeable, honest, flexible.”
