“McCue Design Group redid our entire backyard - from design to project management. We had an existing pool with a small, stamped concrete deck around it, and were looking to create an outdoor space to use and host all summer. The project was complicated by a sloping backyard, requiring multiple levels of patio and drainage. Initially, we hired the firm just to do drawings, not planning to pay a project manager. In addition to hearing us out on what we wanted and matching it perfectly in the design, they also added things that we didn't originally ask for but now couldn't be happier with (a pavilion, a grassy area behind the pool diving board, etc.). Once we iterated on the plans - no small feat given all the decisions on materials (all of which McCue facilitated) - we ultimately decided to hire them to project manage as well. We debated that decision, but are thrilled we made it. They coordinated all the service providers (electricians, landscapers, plumbers, masons, carpenters), got multiple quotes for each piece, and served as a knowledgeable litmus test on what was reasonable in terms of scope and cost for each subcontractor. Additionally, they stayed on top of everyone and made sure the project finished in the allotted time, actually finishing well ahead of schedule. This was a large, ambitious, expensive project, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome and the services provided by Jodi and Matt at McCue Design Group!”
